If your a Christian, do you believe it is wrong to have a Bible related tattoo?
Such Bible related tattoos would include Bible quotes, Jesus, rosary, or cross tattoos.
If you do not profess or believe in the Bible then the choices you make are up to you. If , however, you do claim to be a Christian you might want to look into the Bible instead of relying of tattoos, pictures, statues or anything else. If the Bible teaches against tattooing your body then disobeying the Word and thinking that "Bible" related tattoos somehow make's it okay is fooling only one person......yourself!
Jesus said..." Why do you call me Lord and not do the things I say?" Think about it.
That could be said about eating pork, shellfish, medium rare steaks, shaving your beard, wearing clothing made of two different types of materials etc... The bible only speaks of tattoos in lev. 19, Jesus said if you break 1 law you broke all.
Being a Christian and having a Christian Tattoo does not in itself present any problem.
My issue is that I dislike tattoos with a passion. I never had one and never will. My son does but they are on his back so I do not see them. I was in a restaurant in Texas and all the waitresses where wearing halter tops with their middle section showing. One girl had I think an alligator tattooed all around her stomach. I asked another waitress if that was a real tattoo or some kind of decal or makeup. She confirmed it was real. I said,"Why?" She did not have an answer. I remember a line from the MASH TV series where Col. Potter tells Radar, "Why would somebody put a picture of something on their body that they would not hang in their living room?" Words to live by.
I believe it is wrong to tattoo your body, even though the theme may be Bible-related. The Bible says believers are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We must respect and take care of our bodies. I've seen tattooed people looking ugly when they get old and their skin becomes wrinkle. If we want to witness to others, it must be through our deeds to another. Tattooing crosses, Bible-verses etc, I see as self-promotion. The bottom-line is that we must obey the Word of God. If the Word says do not tattoo, I see that as the final authority. Obedience is better than sacrifice.
No. I do not believe it is wrong. However, that is probably because it psychologically makes sense to me which is in no way related to the Bible.
Being not a Christian....but having an opinion....I feel it is a personal choice, if it makes you feel better as a human being, what's the harm ? I don't believe religion has anything to do with your choice...Fashion in today's world, tattoo's the statement, like piercings are a personal choice/decision..they are done for various reasons...and " yes " they can be removed if one desires...We as a society need prioritize important issues in life....thought provoking subject as you see......
I believe that getting and having tattoos is biblically permissible, we live under the blood of Jesus not the Old Testament law, the scripture says In Romans 10:4 "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes". And 1 Corinthians 10:23 goes one more step further in saying that "All things are lawful, but not all things are helpful, all things are lawful but not all things build up"
I wrote a paper on this subject in seminary and published the bones of this paper on hubpages. Feel free to check it out and comment.

Do you believe religion is needed for morality? Why is it that Christians believe that Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, Native Americans, etc. are all wrong in their beliefs and that they'll all go somewhere horrible when they die? Why can't we just accept that other people have different lives and different experiences, and let them believe how they...
