   Do you think that Facebook should monitor suspicious conversations?
   
   Facebook has a data monitoring technology that was successful in spotting a suspicious chat between a man in his early 30's and a 13 year old girl.  They were chatting about sex, and were planning on meeting, but the man was apprehended because Facebook notified police.  Of course, this was a good thing, but the monitoring disturbs many people as being too Big Brother.  What do you think?

   Injustice will always exist and weirdos will always find a way to cause injustice. Monitoring people and curbing the liberty of everyone is no way to avoid this. This, for me, applies to the world as a whole. I feel differently when you are in some elses realm.
   
   On the other hand, if you sign up for facebook, be prepared to be watched. Its what it was created for and one would be dumb not to expect it. If you are in your own race track, driving your own car, feel free to crash and injure yourself, however, if you are in a private racetrack, driving on their property, abide by the rules or go home. In this case facebook is a private racing track. The internet as a whole, on the otherhand is for the public at large.
   
   I always found it fascinating that the same people who preach about the freedom to do whatever they want, are the same people who will usually try to curb your liberty when you are in their air space. (trespassers will be shot etc) Truly, Facebook can do what they want. We agree to the terms and conditions, and if people dont like it, they can simply cancel their account.
   
   Just a thought!

   When I first heard about cameras on the road to catch drivers doing wrong I was so against it until I saw an accident happen right in front of me because some woman on her phone while she was driving could not wait the 90 seconds for the turning light to turn green.  She crashed straight into some young girl and if you can believe it the woman on the phone had an attitude.  I am now pro cameras on the road.
   
   Facebook monitoring to help the naive and innocent, HELL YA.  Absolutely.  I have nothing to hide and I appreciate someone taking a step to protect.

   Of course not. It is difficult to judge what kind of conversation is suspicious and it is dangerous if the monitored conversation is hacked by hacker.
