   The weather can be bad in November, so go somewhere there is plenty to do whatever the weather. London, of course, has plenty of museums, galleries, shopping etc., but if you prefer somewhere more rural then the south-west is usually warmer than the rest of the country - Devon and Cornwall are both lovely

   You could make it a road trip and see Scotland and most of the UK in that time. York, Bath, London are all worth seeing.

   It depends whether or not you like cities or the country. The UK is pretty small but the roads can get quite congested at times. 
   The Cotswolds are very beautiful as is Oxford which is close by and steeped in history.  Winchester is another lovely old city and will lead you own to the South coast if you like.
   The lake district is beautiful too.
   So much to choose from.  The good thing about the country being small is if you don't like an area you cam move on pretty quickly to somewhere you prefer.

   I suggest staying in my home county of Cambridgeshire, it would be a perfect base for some exploring! Cambridge itself has a multitude of wonderful (free!) museums that are worth a look... might come in handy if the weather's bad. It also has fantastic shopping and a lovely laid back student atmosphere. The historical buildings are beautiful. I did a bike tour round Cambridge once, you rent a bike, get given a map and off you go, was lovely! Just dress up warm ;-) Cambridgeshire also has good access to London if you wanted to go for a weekend/day trip - Trains leave at least once an hour and it's easy to get around London on the underground. Whatever you decide to do, enjoy! The UK can be a lovely place
