Do you use Pinterest to increase traffic?

Do you use Pinterest to bring traffic to your hubs and blog posts? If so, do you find it effective?

I do. Nothing so far. But I suppose it depends a lot on how pretty your picture is. Still trying to figure it out myself.

Thanks for answering. Yeah, I haven't found it much help either, though my pictures haven't been amazing I suppose.

I like Pinterest. I do not use it as much as I should, but when I first started using it, I was impressed with how many people followed me and with the increase in my traffic. I do not put all my hubs over there, just my better ones.

I started following people I knew. Usually, your friends will be happy to show support. It wasn't very long, and I had many people following me. If you have Facebook, you can connect with many of those friend at Pinterest, if they are using it, too.

I've mainly been trying to get some followers so far, but it looks like it'll be slow going. We'll see though In the meantime, it's quite a fun site.

For the most part people pin the images from my hubs themselves. I do however also pin them myself and get traffic to some but not all. If you are not sure how to go about it look up the hubpages user wrylilt and visit the hub about made for pinterest images. It explains how a cleverly designed image ( simply achieved ) can be the key.

I actually read that hub the other day, though I haven't made any images for Pinterest yet; I've only pinned images already on my hubs.

I use pinterest but I have had very little traffic from them. The most effective social networks for gaining traffic I have found are Facebook and Tumblr. Twitter is alright.

Thanks for the response. I haven't had much from anywhere outside Hubpages, though twitter has brought some.

Yes, I love Pinterest.  I don't have many followers but I get around 50-100 views a day.  I don't think having a lot of followers will get you traffic from Pinterest.  You just have to have interesting pictures that women would love to pin.

Wrylilt got over 10,000 pins on one hub!  I am not near there.. the most pins I have on a hub is a thousand.

Here's Wrylilt forum post on How to Get Hundreds of Pinterest Pins.  Her post got me working on my photos.  It works.  Wrylilt is amazing and so nice to share her technique with us.  http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/101442
