What will people say about you at your funeral?

Whether if will be a celebration, a traditional funeral, or a simple gathering of your friends and family, what do you think will be said after you are gone from the planet?

She was exceedingly blunt but always knew how to make those around her comfortable and have a good time. A simple gathering with a little partying. I'll have to write a note for my family to be comfortable to enjoy themselves at my funeral.

Probably something like - 'she was a bit odd, did her own thing, but she  meant well'!

Honestly, I don't care what is said about me when I'm gone.  I'm more concerned about what people say about me now.  I would hope that I have the character that stands out, that is respected by my friends and family, and other peers.  I've often said that if people cannot tell me what they think about me now, when I'm gone, it does not matter to me.

Probably not too much. Even close friends find themselves searching for things to say about me. If anything, and assuming they keep it on an appropriate level, they will say he was determined, hard working and after that they will have to wing it.

Thank you , thank you for taking time out to read this...Yes I’m finally dead...No this time it’s not a rumor or a practical joke as we Irish are known for.

Sure I would love to jump out of my casket as they lower me down to my final home( that the bank cannot reposes) and scare the living day lights out of the people that still owe me money with " Got Ya, now pay up"

Yes, I know you are going to miss me, Heck I am going to miss you too. For we always brought a smile to each other’s faces. Our conversations were never boring; always original we had some great punch lines , left behind many a good bottle of claret.

Cynthia was and still is the love of my Life...true soulmates are hard to find and priceless when you have them, Im so glad I experianced true Romantic love with her, I wish we could be married in Heaven, who knowns maybe God will bend the rules:0)

A year in province would never have been enough for all the stories we had to tell and food to sample and oh my fellowship.

Yes, I leave behind some of the greatest friends a man could have, after all a man can gain the whole world , make a million enemies in the process, but true friends are priceless is that not why God made us in the first place, because he God Almighty wanted a friend.

I remember my Son Casey when he would buy a new plastic figure or animal. He would always search for another one so that it would have a friend, he will never be lonely, I look forward to meeting all the friends he brings to heaven :0)

John His older brother my Traveler. Well I think it’s only fitting that you get my motorcycle and ride to Argentina and dig up the surprise I have waiting for you in Mendoza, we are the same size so the gear will all fit. Oh, I had the leathers cleaned.

Hey Niamh, Siobhan, Dara, Niall, Deidre, Paul...Going to miss you all and thank you so much for all the good times and the Bad. Boy we had some fights growing up but the make ups were fun too...Cynthia has the will and I think you will all like what I left for you, Ps hope your pass- ports are current, enjoy the trip down memory lane. My last book is paying for it all :0)

So, see you all at the funeral and be sure to empty all the glasses after.

Until we all meet later later, love you…Michael :0)

I'm not perfect but I hope I live in such a way that nobody will say anything bad about me.

It depends upon at what age I die. If i die young then ofcourse there must be some mourning but if i go at an very old age when everyone would be waiting and thinking when would this old lady die, then it is i think going to be a party esp if i die rich.

When I am dead it will not matter. Unless it is so bad that I have to get out of my grave and torment the person as a ghost for a while. smile Just kidding.

I only care about what is said while I am alive. I would prefer that people have a nice party in my honor, because I want to be remembered as the life of the party even when I am dead.
    Best wishes.

Usually people talk about how did they meet you? how once you helped him/her?
how good you were as a friend/guide/parent etc.

But IMO it's more important what people say to their families/friends when they go back home from funeral than what they say at the funeral..

People may not want to paint a wrong picture about a dead person in public but they  speak their mind to people who are close to them..
so be good to all and do good always so that people say good things about you both in public and private..

I do not want a funeral or visitation or wake or celebration of my life after I'm gone.  For those who have known me, I trust they will say, "She lived for Christ and is now eternally with Him."

I couldn't care less about what people will say about me at my funeral, but I have instructed my children to throw a gigantic party and have fun with the people who liked me if there are any. This of course, after the good doctors have removed any spare part of me that can be reused on someone else.  What a way to go !

This here lies a woman who has lived a unique life. Hers was one of a kind; and in her passing she did not leave us empty but has filled our memories with remembrance of her. She is no longer walking, laughing, dancing and eating with us; but she is in our memory always.

I really don't care what they say, I only hope they will laugh and smile when they think of me. ( not AT me, of course) smile
