    Are you obligated to tell your significant other everything about your past?

    Jian Feng of Nothern China sued his wife for giving birth to an "ugly baby". Since the baby didn't look like either parent, Feng accused his wife of infidelity. After a DNA test proved that the baby is, in fact Feng's, the wife came clean on her little secret: Before they had met, she had undergone about $100,000 worth of cosmetic surgery in South Korea. Feng claimed that his wife (misled him) by not telling him about her plastic surgery before they wed. "Our daughter was incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me." A judge agreed, and ordered the wife to fork over $120,000!

    Absolutely not.  What happened before him/her should in many cases be left unsaid.  The past cannot be changed; and, usually no good comes when you dredge it up.

      I agree. Apparently he loved the results of her surgeries. Suppose she had been obese should she have to show her (before and after) photos to consider what their offspring might look like? Will gene testing be a prerequisite before marriage?

    It depends on individual perception actually to disclose about everything or not. But for me its not necessary.
    Thanks

    I my case, I am an open book. Not all people can be like that. I respect those that need to keep certain things, for any number of reasons. I agree that a woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets, and some men have a hundred skeletons in the closet. Funny. To each their own.  Trust is a fickle partner, just like butterfly wings; once touched, they never get off the ground. Take care.

    PS;
    Love the pic.

      Very well said! I suspect it was his wife's facial surgeries he had a problem with and not her breast surgery. LOL!  He'd really hate Hollywood actresses. There are lots of nose jobs, cheek/chin implants, and eyebrow lifts...etc

    Whoa....what the heck? That's horrible! I do think you should tell your significant other important things like that, but to sue because your child is ugly?! What has the world come to? I sure hope she left him.

    Not everything. Just the important things. Also, that story is really funny! That father is obviously selfish and foolish. He doesn't love his daughter, just cares about her appearance.

    What a crazy judge or . . . there's more to this. Maybe when they got together she still owed the money and expected him to pay it. That would be court orderable. Appearance is not.
