Is there a way to download my hubs?

   Is there a way to download my hubs?
   
   I was just thinking, usually I make sure I copy and paste my hubs into Word, or write them in word beforehand - either way, I make sure I save them. But recently I haven't been. I know with facebook you can download your profile, which is all your photos, photos of you, your notes, etc. I'm wondering if Hubpages has the same option and if not, why the bugger not??

   I have not seen any such option over here on HP so far. I believe there is no way to download.

   No feature in Hubpages to download Hubs.  Either print them or copy and paste.

   There is no option for downloading that I'm aware of but...wouldn't it be a fabulous addition to HP?  Hint, hint to the powers that be.

   If you have adobe acrobat or some other way to make pdf's you could select print, and save your hubs as a pdf on your computer. I was thinking about this in case something happened to hubpages I would still be able to access my writing.

      Kimberly, that is brilliant and a great solution for all of us.  For anyone who doesn't use adobe, there is a freebie softward called "Cute pdf" that works great for printing to a pdf file too.  Thanks for a great solution.

   If you want a quick and easy way to save the hubs you're talking about just to have them for your records,  you can just select all and paste in a word doc as follows:
   1. Open up a a blank Microsoft Word doc.
   2. Go to the hub you want to save, press control A, (select all) control C (copy),
   2. Go back to your blank doc and press control V (paste). Then paste into your Word Document.  It will take a bit if you have pictures, etc. and Microsoft will ask you some question which I just answered "yes" or "continue" or something. 
   I just tried it with my How to Publish a Children's Book, which you can see has lots of content and graphics.  However, THE PRINT WAS HUGE after the "paste," so I Selected All  (control A) again in the Word doc and changed font to 11 Arial, and clicked View Normal. When I look at document on the screen, the text looks like it's all the way to the left margin with a lot of white space to the right, but when you PREVIEW for PRINTING, you'll see that it looks as if it will print properly.  If you try it and it works for you, I'd love to know.

   This would be a great feature. I write my hubs in word and then copy and paste them to the site. That way I have back up on my pc.

   I usually have my hubs backed up anyway on my PC, because I write them there and transfer them to the appropriate capsules while editing.

   There's no download option, but if you want you can go to File>Save Page As and use a PDF converter to save the web page to your computer. As Billie Kelpin mentioned, I usually just make a Word document copy of all my Hubs, and paste my Hub photos in at the bottom of the document. That seems to be the simplest way. A download feature would be nice, though!

      you dont need a pdf converter - just save as a webpage (htm) or mht file
      
      if you do need to edit a pdf, photo elements will work - there are other , free, converters available but i havent tested them

    yes, when you're viewing a hub, just click File/save as and it will save your hub as an MHT file wjich word can read and contains all your images, text and links
