I want to buy my gf something, but I don't know what. Can you help?
to men -What's the best gift you'd give to your gf?
To- women what's the best gift you'd receive from a bf?
Hello miscellanea. Stopped by and said hello elsewhere. With the first question, shooting from the hip, the answer is 'nope.' Stopping a moment while taking aim the answer still is 'nope.'
Attempting the challenge of answering the second question, well I bet my bottom dollar there are more answers than I can fathom. A smile is prompted now pondering your home site and the fact you said 'we' with your mission statement.
Not being a gal, I will answer from the perspective of a man, yet of 'self.' I know what I believe is the best gift I have given, though it is her that makes the discernment. That gift I gave was simply, where is my dictionary anyway . . .
Remember she is a girl and a friend without any other definitions. Besides, I gave her my dictionary . . .I already read it - smile.
wow, thanks alot for stopping that somewhere and being so polite and saying hello. The we was for me and a friend. the idea of dictionary is so great. I have had a short story published and I have given it to her.
thx
Shhhh that is a wonderful idea giving a story published or not. I kinda' like that and kinda' already did was done too shhhh, copyright is the question to resolve. . . inspired has benefits likened to together. How did you wrap it miscellanea?
Hi! As a female, the best gift has been an experience! I mean a special evening planned to spend time together. It doesn't have to be anything fancy although that is always nice too. Think about what she enjoys doing and surprise her. Maybe it is an evening out listening to music or something like a trip to the zoo. Also, anything that is home-made with love is especially wonderful! It can be food or a poem or running a bath for her. There are lots of special gifts that a guy can give along these lines.
Enjoy! Have fun!
Being a woman, I'd this right away thanks a lot for bothering to answer!
when you don't know what to give her, a bunch of lovely flowers will never go amiss. As a girl, I love flowers and often give my own girlfriend flowers on big or small occasions. It never fails to make a girl feel special. I have learned, however, some of the male specie could not comprehend the gift of flowers. When I asked my ex-husband why he never gave me any flowers, he said, "but you've already got them in the garden!" Small wonder he is now an ex, lol.
yes that so true; most men don't understand the value of a flower, and I would consider that thanks
You said you want to "buy" something for your girlfriend... you could by anything such as a gift card, jewelry, flowers, etc. Try something different..her favorite type of artwork such as a painting or paint it yourself. Another idea is to pack her favorite food, a lunch or dinner complete with tablecloth, candles and music. Take her to a special place or even your backyard or balcony and surprise her, just the two of you...don't answer your phone or text either.
yes, maybe that's why I have asked this question to hear what women would say and how i I would react
Thanks a lot
That's a beautiful question and some beautiful answers too.
Though girls love gifts, right from flowers, perfumes, jewellery, chocolates, greeting cards and---------I can go on and on------------.
But perhaps most important for a woman is the attention of her man. They love to spend time with their man. The venue can be any place----a five star hotel or even a remote little place.
That's right. Gifts without attention really nothing thx for answering !
I gave my wife a Thai amulet. Now my whole family have one each. It is the best gift as it lasts forever till death.
I did that when she was my gf.
yeah, this could be true also thx for your question
I think whatever it is should come from the heart and you should take a good look at what makes her happy and the things she loves. Gifts given without considering what someone really likes may make a nice gesture but can be pretty meaningless in years to come.
Find something that she is passionate about and maybe find a pendant with that on it which will last a lifetime, remembering your friendship every time it is worn, or complimented. Pictures of the same are also something that last forever and if she has a favorite place to visit, the pictures taken when you go there will also last a lifetime.
If she is the charitable type donating in her name with a framed certificate is special, or sponsoring a child or animal for a year with updates sent is a great reminder of what being a true friend is all about.
Maybe there has been something she has always wanted to try like skiing, bungee jumping, skating, hiking camping, which you can do together making it a first she has always dreamed of.
OK I think you get the idea, so good luck and don't forget the card has to express your friendship or if she loves comedy make her jaw hurt with laughter.
Wow that's really so great that would work a life time for me, whenever I'd like to buy or give her a gift i'll look at your answer and do it right away
I think instead of buying something go and do something with her that is romantic that will be a wonderfull memory years from now. For instances pack a picnic basket with something to eat, two wine glasses, wine and take her to a beautifull area and sit on a blanket and have your picnic and watch the sunset together while you drink a glass of wine, and after the sunsets lay together and watch the stars.
wow that's really romantic and I like it so much thx
