Has anyone done HubPages Apprenticeship, and how did it work out?
Hi. I tried to become an apprentice and I got back an email saying that I was refused because I didn't post enough hubs per month. They wanted people that were already posting around 8 hubs per month. They also wanted to see a variety of usage with the capsules. So, long story short, I was turned down
Best of luck to you!!
Well, I have not applied yet. However, I didn't know that you need to be posting 8 hubs per month before applying, to be accepted. That makes it pretty tough for me to be accepted, as I don't do that right now. Thank you for the information.
Yes, you can re-apply. The "publishing 8 hubs a month" guideline was not present when I got in last Spring. I guess they added it cause there are many applicants, and because people who can't do 8/month are dropped. Write more & reapply; it's gre
I just accidentally deleted a comment. I forget who it was who wrote the comment. Is there a way to get it back?
I was in the second group that went through the apprenticeship program. There are requirements that you have to meet for each of the six months, publishing a minimum of 8 hubs a month is one of them. It is a bunch of work but, if you can do it, the lessons learned are very beneficial.
In addition to improving how you write there are lessons to help you write better online which can translate into increased revenue. You are also grouped with other hubbers and you will quickly establish a bond with them. They will become your support group if you are struggling in the program and the ones I was grouped with were awesome people.
If you can meet the requirements I would recommend doing it.
I agree with adjkp25. If you can write eight high-quality Hubs per month, then it is a fantastic program. I'm learning things that I had never even considered even after having written internet content for years. I've got a little less than six weeks to go before I'm finished with the program and I'm so glad I applied.
Aha, I have just realized why I was not acceptef the last two times. I have not published 8 hubs per month, although I have published over 100 in 12 months. Thanks for asking the question and helping me with an answer. I think from what I read the programme is really worthwhile and I do hope to be accepted on it.
I started the Apprenticeship Program last June, and finished it at the end of November. Totally worthwhile - the commitment to publish 8 hubs per month professionalized my writing habits, helping me change to this new career. The lessons made learning to write for money on HubPages easy. The team and mentor were a fun community and great support. And the financial bonus helped, as well.
I was committed to making a living as an online writer. Having finished the Apprenticeship Program, I'm on my way and I know how to get there. Don't count on making a lot of money fast, but do count on learning how it can be done and developing habits that keep you going in the right direction, if you keep going!

Did anybody hate the apprenticeship program? One third of the first class dropped out. I understand that it was mostly because of the rigors of the program and personal time constraints. However, I've seen nothing but praise so far. I'd like to hear from someone who didn't like the program. Maybe if...

I logged in to Hubpages this morning to find that whereas previously, I had two unfeatured hubs that I have been intending to get around to editing or deleting, I now have 25 UNFEATURED for "lack of engagement".Whilst I appreciate that the older hubs may well need some work or in some...

Why wasn't I accepted into the Apprenticeship Program?I've noticed a lot of people talking about being accepted into the program and I'm just wondering why they passed me up? I have good quality hubs and I'm so eager to learn more. Tips, anyone? Has anyone else been rejected?
