   Are there any new Hub Page Success Stories out there?
   
   I have repeatedly read the success stories of the people profiled on the Hub Pages Success Stories page.They have been there for at least 1 year now. Just wondering if there are any new people making between $350 and $1,000 per month?

   I consider myself a success story here. I made $0.83 last month! I am here for the writing; for creating quality hubs that folks enjoy reading and for participating in the community give and take. My plan seems to be validated as I have the Rising Star accolade on my profile page. Everyone has his/her own reasons for being here, and that's how it should be. I'm just not in that group that spells $ucce$$ in terms of dollars.

   While I haven't made the "big bucks" yet (just under $13 so far!), writing Hubs has re-awakened the writer in me. As a young man, I loved to write science fiction and comic book stories (lots of submissions and only one acceptance, but never give up). In my mid-20s, I became a technical writer and it ruined me for writing for enjoyment. (Who wants to spend time writing at home if you do it ALL day!)
   
   After discovering Hubpages, I wrote a number of Hubs (31, thus far!) and found a lot of enjoyment in it. This led me to work on two projects that have been burning in the back of my mind for many years. I've written two stories in a new children's series which my #1 Son will be illustrating and I've finished my first edit of a science fiction novel that I'm working on with #2 Son. (#1 Son is doing the cover art for this!) These should be ready for e-publication soon.
   
   I now plan to write a number of Hubs and broaden the base of topics I've addressed. While doing this I'll be outlining further books in the children's series and the sci-fi series. Once I get 20 - 30 new Hubs done, I'll be ready to tackle new books!

   Regrettably, as I have only published two Hubs so far, I cannot answer that question.
   Nevertheless, one thing I do know, is that I have been providing ad-space via various mediums for, e.g., Google and (as an "affilliate" for) others, for 6 years overall.  And up to now have only "earned" some $28.00? Unbelievable!
   Especially as one (monetized) YouTube video I made had over 25,000 hits?!
   No, definitely something very strange going on here. PS: have you looked up magazines and periodicals on the Internet that actually pay REAL money (e.g., $50.00 - $100+)  for the articles they accept for publication?

   Heard of some hubbers claimed to earn a few hundred bucks per month to 1k. As for me, i have earned USD$15 per month which i am happy with. I love the HP community because they are friendly and helpful. Writing here is meaningful to me.

      I agree. I'm really new here and everyone is SOOO helpful. When I joined I wasn't expecting such a friendly community and that alone will make me stay here a long time.

   I'm not discontent with what I've managed. These past couple of weeks have brought me a few days with 1000 visitors (usually I hover around 600 a day.) I am hoping to keep it up, if not make it higher. We'll see what adding a few more hubs does. I think I have a little over 100 now. I am putting all the money earned towards self-publishing a book. That could be a great thing to consider a success.

      Blurb at www.blurb.com is a self-publishing company for self-published books which cost around $3.95 upwards (per copy) (and they also offer a handy, free DIY bookwriting software download). So perhaps, you could start right away?

      I could publish a novel for free through Amazon's CreateSpace. If I wanted to sell an E-book there are plenty of avenues to do that too. Unfortunately I want a coffee table book of my travels through the lower 48 - full color photos are expensive!

    I have 30 hubs and do over $150.00 per month during the warm summer months since I write hubs about swimming pool care and maintenance. From October to march though I make next to nothing. Definitely seasonally driven.

       Could you not include articles on the benefit of having a heated pool, or bath equipped with (massaging and relaxing) jet-propelled water sprays, similar to a jacuzzi? Or suggest the use of patio "chimenoes?" Or recommend the purchase of a selk'bag?

    I'm not a success story by any means so I can't give a real answer to this question just my opinion based on my experience. So like you I have been wondering if there are any new or other success stories out there. However, I think its possible to become a success story but it takes time and a lot work. I would be interested to know how many hours does a "successful" hubber put into writing for hubpages. Great question sorry I didn't have an answer for you.

    I'm sloooooowly generating some nice exposure and comments, while meeting some awesome writers in turn. But as far as monetary compensation goes, I haven't made crap. It's okay, I'm just thrilled to be validated as a writer of fine comedic and (some) serious minded hubs. As a bonus, when a hub of mine is not only approved, but featured as well, that is awesome.
    If you're in this for the money then....tell me how you do it!!!

    I am hoping Hub Pages will come out with some current success stories to show us who is making money now, and what niches they are writing in.  The previous article that profiled people was from 2011 data.  It would inspire us all to work harder.

    These are tough times for the American economy, in general, and especially  for the Hubpages enterprise and Hubpage's freelance writers (that's all the rest of us).  There may well be NO Hubbers who have bumped up into the $350 - 1,000 range, during the last 12 months.
    
    I think we can improve things around here and make more money for everybody, as I discuss in my newest hub, "Hubpages at the Crossroads". (I don't want to try to repeat everything here.)
