Staying up too late on the computer

   Are you staying up way too late because you can't get off the computer?  Like right now?  I know I'm guilty.

         my doctor told me that the light from the computer screen simulates daylight and resets our internal clock.... oh well

            since finding HP, going to bed much later and that's a good reminder about the computer screen~~~ I recently read in a blog that it's good to keep contrast in lifestyle, like if we've spent a lot of hours online, then to do something completely mindless, nothing coming in~~~~~

      Yes, for sure, I stay up wayyyy to late workin on my website and bouncing around in forums.  It's 12:30 now so about 2 more hrs to go.

         I would be doing laundry if my other half wasn't sleeping. When he travels I can have the tv turned up, the laundry going and maybe even fire up the vacuum cleaner, all in the middle of the night.  I'm a nightowl at heart - always have been.

   Yes - I have also heard the computer screen does have that effect. Apparently, the television would have the same effect if we were to sit close to it.

   For the past 5 years I have rarely got more than 4 hours of sleep in any night.
   
   Being a full time oilpatch worker and an affiliate marketer takes up a lot of time but to me well worth it for the rewards I see.

    It is currently 5:48am. I've been up since 4am. I have not been able to get no more than 5 hours of sleep for ages.
    
    And being unemployed that's why I've been writing hubs. I'd kill for just one night of restful sleep without medicinal help.

    I get up at 3:00 in the morning to go to work. I try to get at least 5 hours of sleep a night. They tell me that 6 hours is the least amount of sleep we should get; otherwise--to be a party-pooper--it could lead to serious health problems down the line. So if you care about your health, put the computer down and get some rest. Control it. Don't let it control you.

       you are so right, I need to listen to my own advice...
       turn off the computer and get a little sleep (fortunately I'm off today) or, have a cup of coffee, enjoy the morning, and pretend that you slept last night.  I do that from time to time.

    I can rarely stay up that long any more. I have had a couple of all-nighters in the past year. Gone are those days when I could go out to a dance club until 2am and be at work for 7am.

       When people say they only need "X amount of hours per night" and the X is under 5 - I always wonder how old they are. Those all nighters are over for me now too.

    Well being new here I found this place late at night.  It was instantly like a wake up because within minutes I was addicted.  Hmm not sure if the addiction will last but I do see a lot of late nights ahead.

    I am up frequently up till about 3am because hubpages is massivly addictive and if i'm not writing i'm in the formum or reading others hubs. It's crazy I am trying to finish earlier but time just fly's by.

       That's along the lines of what I seem to be doing these days - up super late, up super early, skip sleeping a day here or there.  You can't live a life "offline" and have your computer time without something having to go, so that's sleep.

    Since I finished my internship exactly 2 weeks ago, I don't have to get up early now. My bedtime is roughtly 3:30 AM on the computer or not. I love being a creature of the night...on the computer and such.

    Definitely staying up waaayyyy too late. Tonight I'm really going to try to get off NOW, it's 1 AM here. Many nights it's more like 2 or 3 AM before I can close the computer lid! Can we all say "addiction?"
