My favorite word in the world is "love." My least favorite should not even exist, this being god^*#@. This is a horrible that makes me cringe whenever I hear it.

Yes I agree about your least favorite word, so many people use it and it bothers me every time I hear it.

I love the word desiderata meaning a thing desired.

Least favorite, Im sure there are a lot that I can't think of but strictly from the way the word sounds I would say the word 'pregnant.'  Having a child is such a wonderful experience and the word pregnant sounds so sharp and harsh when compared to the beauty of the situation

my favorite word is copacetic: I find it perfectly describes how I feel about something that is giong really well.

My least favorite word would be poo. The way it sounds and the way people say it, grinds my gears. I know it's weird but I can't stand it, lol.

Serendipity is my favorite word - it means little hidden happy surprises, "coincidences" that turn out to be blessings.

I dislike extremely crude words like the "F" bomb for example. I know people who use that particular word and its variants as noun, verb, subject, and everything in between in the same sentence and it really annoys me.  Not that most of us haven't dropped one now and then - but those who routinely swear like that leave a bad impression.

Cannabinoid is my favorite word. I have no reason to ever say it but I love the way it just rolls off your tongue... Came across it on a documentary and was immediately struck by what an awesome word it was.

The words sweet and like really annoy me when used incorrectly or profusely. Sepia sounds like a disease to me and vagina sounds even worse... Maybe there's a poet lingering somewhere in me since all these likes and dislikes are based solely on how the words physically sound... smile

Antidisestablishmentarianism  very fun word to look up:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antidisest … ntarianism

    Or:
    supercalifragolisticespeallidocious  of Mary Poppins fame

How wonderful these words are in our lexicon, evoking memories and brain teasers as to their correctness.

Least favorite is the most wrong word I ever did hear:  Can't

My favorite word is Gratitude for which I love to express.  The practice of Gratitude will change your life as the more you give thanks, the more things the Universe will give you to be thankful for. My least favorite word is lack as it is negative and denotes the absence of abundance which is truth.

My favorite word is "success" since I rarely hear it, I relish the sound on the rare occasion it comes my way.Haven't heard it in a few decades.
My least favorite word is "money" since the only time I hear it lately is when someone says I have to give them more of it.

I really fancy random words that I find to be succinct but interesting, such as "fallow," "raze," or "fleet." I also like to use animal related terms such as "colubrid," "chelicerae," or "squaliform" as often as I can in conversation.

My least favorite word is also the ugliest word in the human dictionary: "penis." It is just ridiculous. I can't even say it out loud. Blehk!

My favorite word is "integrity".  To me, it sounds like what it means - and I like both how it sounds/looks and what it means.

I can't come up with a least favorite word because there are far too many words that make me cringe.  In fact, some of those words that I find most objectionable are words I couldn't even make myself say or write (and they don't necessarily have anything to do with profanity, by the way.  They're just ugly, crude or creepy in some way.   smile  )

My favorite is THRIVE. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it as "to progress toward or realize a goal despite or because of circumstances."

My least favorite word is HOPELESSNESS.

Simple for me.  My favorite word is "please" and my least favorite word is any swear word that demeans any person, place or thing.  I'm no Pollyanna, but I really don't like hearing the F word in every sentence.
