What non-search sites bring your Hubs the most traffic?
I get most of mine from Facebook, Pinterest, StumbleUpon and Tumblr. I have tried Digg and Delicious with not a single click through (am I doing something wrong?). And Reddit brings in a lot of traffic, but is finicky about letting me submit links.
I think it really depends on your niche, your social media presence etc.
I am promoting my widget on one of my sites (topadmin.net) and it starts driving some traffic. I also linked to some of my articles on Facebook, Twitter and G+. My social media results haven't been to satisfactory, but in the end some of my articles here might not be interesting to my followers (again, it depends on the niche).
I am planning on adding my hubpages widget on my other sites (I have at least 10 more that could link to it and it should help out more. My main efforts though are to also promote within this site, by being active in the forums/questions section and commenting on related hubs I get "qualified" traffic from this site and the chance to also chat with like minded people.
Pinterest brings the most traffic although it is still only a trickle. I get virtually no traffic from StumbleUpon or Reddit. I get some traffic from RedGage but it doesn't seem to show up in the statistics on HubPages. I have never got any traffic from Digg or Delicious either. A good way of getting some traffic is from Yahoo Answers. When you answer a question, you can post a link to where you sourced the information. So you can be cheeky and link back to HubPages. I don't think its against the TOS to do this and once you don't do it to often , you wont be branded as a spammer.
Thanks, I tried that tactic by answering questions on Quora, without much success. I'll try on Yahoo and see what happens.
Just make sure the HubPages link is relevant to the answer. Otherwise the Yahoo "IT Police" will be after you!

I am starting to learn how to social bookmark. I've been doing it on twitter, facebook, igoogle, digg, delicious, diigo, my blogs, pingomatic and a few other places. I have only been doing it on some of these sites for the last four or five days. It probably takes a while to see...

My Hubs get very little traffic and earn very little. Even adding my Hubs to Network Sites, did nothing. I am not that knowledgeable about how to increase traffic. I have posted them on Pinterest and Flipboard, with little to no activity.I was wondering if it helps to add recipe intros and...

Just wondering what sites Hubbers use to promote their articles? I have seen a lot of changes over the years with some sites no longer allowing links in forums or comments, and some article sharing sites just going away. I primarily use Facebook and Twitter these days to share my...

I'm bored. Ok correction, I'm procrastinating. I randomly come on and off the forums and on this return visit I've seen SO many people questioning why their hubs aren't making money and/or getting traffic. So for as long I'm having fun, feel free to post below (either for your whole account or one...

PHILLYDREAMER started a topic about changing traffic conditions due to Panda and Penguin and working on attracting more traffic. As I keep saying, people need to learn to diversify their traffic sources (and writing places, and monetisation methods, yada yada.)After the overwhelming response to my...
