    Does Article Marketing Really Work?

Is it true that you can get more traffic to your hubs or web page through article marketing? If so, do you think it's better to submit to allot of directories or only a few high ranked ones?

I saw a small spike in views from submitting to google and bing. I would suggest not wasting your time on the smaller ones. I have a hub on this topic if you'd like to read it: http://phtech.hubpages.com/hub/How-I-Do … -One-Night

Article Marketing is important for your business, as more information you provide to the readers of your articles the more they trust you. As your readers trust you they begin to treat you as the expert in your field. This will build a personal and business reputation for you. The fact is that as people begin to trust you personally they will also trust your recommendations and products.

If you listen to Google it doesn't work, but in reality it does. You just have to write high quality, moderately long articles and submit them to a combination of high ranked and low ranked directories and websites. Not only will it draw search engine traffic (page rank and all that jazz) but like hubpages, a lot of high ranked article directories tend to have social media support. This equates to more social media coverage on your articles which equates to more clicks on the links in your articles. If you properly placed your link for maximum visibility this equates to a lot more traffic to your hubs.
