Do you ask questions on Hubpages to get hits or because you have legitimate questions?

For me it's a bit of both.  The community is mostly respectful about their answers.  But I do like seeing the increase in traffic as well.

I honestly never thought of asking questions to up my traffic. I ask simply because I want to know it am curious about something

Me too. I didn't know it could increase your traffic. Do people click on your hubs because they see a question from you?

Interesting question, I never thought of the traffic that questions generate!

I ask questions because I have a question, not because it will get hits. The few questions I have asked did not get many hits anyway. I would rather spend energy on writing and updating hubs if traffic was my main concern than asking questions.

I ask questions base on things that concern me and I ask to see how other feel about the question there points and views to see if they are thinking like I thinking or just to get another point on the subject.......I add feed back to questions based on the subject that peaks me if it's something that I really don't want to be involved with then I do not reply on the subject.

I ask questions because I want an answer from the Hubpages community which I think is worth way more than a random web search sometimes. Otherwise I would use Google, it's instant! I have asked a few only because I know it increases traffic and the question is likely to be searched for daily.

Questions bring readers to Hubpages, and ads are present on questions. At least for me, the few I have do bring in some spare change along with the regular readers.

I didn't even know Q&A was connected to traffic views, ads, and earnings until months after I was here. I thought it was purely a part of the community participation aspect of HubPages. Knowing that didn't change why I ask questions which is to be involved and see the interesting responses of others. Also, I ask about something I'm really interested in knowing about.

I could care less about hits. If I ask a question? I really want to know how people feel about the topic at hand.

Honestly speaking, I have asked questions because I want to get a genuine answer. Mostly the questions I ask aren't that wow-let-me-give-it-more-hits.
