How much do you spend each day on coffee?

I make a 16 oz cup of coffee at home from fresh ground whole coffee beans that costs about 70 cents to make.  During the day, I drink a couple Keurig decafs that cost about 65 cents each to make.  A few times a week, I get a decaf at a coffee shop in the evening that costs $2.11.

So my average cost per day for coffee is about $2.70.  How much do you spend on coffee every day?

Probably around ten cents per day, roughly.  smile   I am the only one in my house who drinks coffee and I almost always make it myself at home or drink it for free at work.

Free coffee at work is great- that is how I got started drinking coffee years ago.

Well, I usually drink one cup of coffee a day. I have a Keurig and the reusable filter so I use my own coffee. And this little tub of coffee I got from Walmart costs about $3. I make it a little weak, so about half a tablespoon of coffee per cup. I Googled, and there are approximately 22 tablespoons in the 11 ounce can of coffee, which gives me 44 cups. $3 divided by 44 is, according to my trusty calculator, about $0.07/cup, give or take.

This was fun, actually, considering I loathe math. smile

Those refillable K-cups save a lot of money: regular K-cups cost about 65 cents each.  I'm glad you shared the math so we can see how much you can save!

I really like the Green Mountain Caramel Vanilla Creme k-cups. At $10 for 18 cups, though, they're a "sometimes" treat. (About $0.56 each... I CAN HAS A CALCULATOR!)

Only one cup of coffee per day, home brewed. Barely anything. If I actually go to Starbucks, it's once in six months with friends. Or when with family, it's McDonalds once every two months or so.

I think going out to a coffee shop with friends or family, or even alone, is a lot less expensive than eating out at a restaurant, etc.  For me it is good entertainment value and a chance to learn more about coffee.
