   Other than music, how do you entertain yourself on a long trip?
   
   With or without children in the vehicle.

   I like to take and appreciate in the beauty of the landscapes. Taking the scenic route anywhere is the way to go.

   It depends: I travel 2 hours each way to the office everyday so for me I actually like to meditate for part of that journey. I need to switch trains twice each time but have a 45-55 train ride that I use to do the meditation.
   
   I tried reading or doing work but found that I'm just too tired in the early morning hours or the evenings.

      I could NOT travel 2 hours per day to work and 2 hours back.  I just couldn't do it.  I admire you for doing that.  It takes a special person.

   If I'm the one driving, I would often travel with someone close to me, with whom I can have a conversation to keep the boredom away. Otherwise, I may switch on an audio book or podcast to listen to. I listen to podcasts on books, news, general knowledge and many more.
   
   If I'm not the one driving, in addition to all the above, I may also read a book, since I don't have to fix my eyes on the road and I'm quite used to reading in a moving vehicle.

   If I'm not driving, I bring along a crochet project and magazines or book checked out from the library, plus I just enjoy the scenery.

   I like to write . I write a small story when I am alone in the hotel at night. I bring snack in case I get a little hungry after dinner. I bring my tablet to look at the internet.  I watch TV.  On the plane, I read and watch a movie.The rest it is  in accordance with the place were we go for vacation.

   If not appreciating the nature outside, I love reading and listening to music. Most of the times, it is nature that keeps me hooked.
