   Personally, a small dog works best for my husband and me because we live in an apartment and we like to travel so we wanted a dog we could take with us to a lot of places. We have a toy Maltese.

   I prefer larger breeds, as most small breeds I have been around have had a tendency to whine and yap. The dogs I have had during my adult years have been larger breeds, and not anxious like small dogs. I also feel larger breeds can offer protection that small ones cannot. If I get another dog it will be a mid-size to large one.

   Small dogs are adorable and easier to handle. Big dogs require more energy to keep at bay. With how little dogs are trained these days, they are even more difficult to control. My mother has two Shelties that they "train" to compete. Yet they don't know simple commands such as heel, stop, walk, go outside, fetch, etc.

   I have greyhounds so they're gargantuan, lol. I don't have a preference for size, but I prefer the breed and they just happen to usually be huge.

   I'm in the middle. If I ever get a dog, it will probably be in the mid-size range. I don't want something so small it won't scare away a flea because I'd want something most criminals would think would be dangerous, but I'd want something small enough I can handle.

   Big dogs! I actually have one of each right now, but I've always been a big dog person. Mainly, it's because I love canine sports, and the kind of sports that can only be done with strong medium to large sized dogs. I also live in a small town in a sparsely-populated part of the country, so there are endless opportunities for running the energy out of the hounds, herders, and spitz-type dogs that I prefer. My current dog is a leggy 65-pound Catahoula (yes, my mom laughs at him while walking her 180-pound Newfoundland) who I've been working with on bike-joring since I got him a little over a year ago, he'll be starting cani-cross as soon as the weather warms up, and then ski-joring next winter. I love to get out and run, so I love dogs that are always up for adventure too

   I really don't have a preference with size, I'm more selective on the type/breed. I have no problem with small dogs, but right now I have two German Shepards that are quite large and love them to death. Love the breed.

    Our neighbor likes German Shepherd dogs for the third time  now he made sure to get the same  kind of breed. When I had dogs they were bull mastiff and stafordshire
