What is an 'asexual' person?
Is that bad or good, evil or [insert choice of antonym here], common or rare, random or chaotic, a choice or an assignment [nature or man], eventual and not always or always, social or anti-social, and of the many more possible compare / contrast acceptable or unacceptable.
tsmog... An asexual person is someone who does not experience sexual attraction to anyone of either sex and remains that way their entire life.
Asexual people who experience attraction will often be attracted to a particular gender, and may identify as gay, bi, pan, or straight, or as homoromantic, biromantic, panromantic or heteroromantic.
Although researchers in human sexuality have known about asexuality since at least the late 1940s, little research has been done. Most of this has been recent and there is increasing interest in the subject. hope this was note worthy.
'Asexual' usually means a lack of sexual orientation as kjforce suggests. It can also mean a 'spent force', someone who no longer feels any inclination towards man or woman. Nuns can be 'asexual' - or just plain frustrated, like many priests (except Dutch ones, who can marry).
An 'asexual' might even be someone who's never felt the urge, a hermaphrodite. There are some, i'm told...
Alan, just a note - hermaphrodite is a term for a person who has sexual characteristics of both genders (either externally, internally or both) - it does not make them asexual.
OK jlpark. So, like a motorist without a road map when they come to a 'T' junction, does a hermaphrodite know which way to turn?
I lean toward spent with that identity may occur as life continues along our now longer paths of life.
An asexual person is simply a person who is not interested in sex. These people are happy in their lifestyle and lead normal, fulfilling lives. In this sex-obsessed society, people who contend that they aren't interested in sex are deemed abnormal and quite beyond the pale. There is an unwritten societal consensus that every NORMAL adult is and/or should be interested in sex. If not, he/she is deemed to be immature, antisocial, and in need of some deep psychological help.
However, such is not necessary the case. There are people out there who simply could care less for sex. They are happy the way they are and should be left alone. To each his/her own as long it is does not infringe upon the rights of others.

I did not mean much or expect much when I asked the question about sapiosexuality. I only met one gentleman (well, I did not meet him, I came across his profile on a dating site) who claimed to be a sapiosexual. Unfamiliar with term, I looked it up and I would have probably forgotten it...

Is there such a thing as love at first sight? In the media and in 'real' life I hear about people getting married after only months of dating and hear phrases being thrown around like "as soon as I saw them I knew". Do you believe in this, or if this has been your experience I would love...

Is love at first sight possible?I have heard many couples say that they fell in love with each other at the very first sight. But how is it possible when nothing is known about each other?

Is it possible that bisexual man become a straight guy in the end?

As many of you know, there was controversy at this year's Olympics, and I'm not talking about the opening ceremony, which is an entirely different conversation altogether. No, I'm talking about female boxer, Imane Khelif, who beat up a woman for less than a minute in the ring, which...
