   Has anyone else noticed ads coming across hubs when trying to read others' hubs?
   
   I noticed more than once while reading others' hubs that ads are placed right on top of the writer's words in their hub.  I could not even read what was written due to the ad over the words. They seem to be some kind of ad that you can see through to the writing just a bit, but not enough to read.  Has anyone else noticed this with the ads?  Thank you for answering.

      Yes, and they are not the ads that I could x out of too, so I just could not read the persons' hubs. I hope that does not continue to happen!

   I have noticed  floating ads when on my phone that are,  as you said obscuring the writing. It is really off putting and should be remedied.

      Yes, that must have been when they showed up while on my phone.  It does need to be remedied for sure.

   That occurred for me a way's back. I discovered a cookie or some such was hidden on my PC through the browsing mechanism(s). I removed a tool bar that was recently installed, which I thought would be beneficial, and the problem went away. I used Revo Pro, which digs deep into the root directory removing all the oddities buried deep within. I am not suggesting that need be done. I am saying think of any recent additions to your browser tools, downloaded programs, and recent activity that may have cookies and such stuff I do not understand.

   It happens from time to time. The next time it happens, write down the company and product named in the ad and report it to HP. From what I've read in the forums, occasionally an advertiser does something to cause the pop up ads and HP will disable them.

   I noticed this every recently, Faith, and thought it was only me.  It is gauche and rude.  I love that photo -- it expresses my feelings, exactly. Lol.  :-)

   Yes, I've also been on some sites where audio of ads start playing. It's all so annoying. I know the websites make their money from the ads but it seems so intrusive to click close on a ad in order to read an article.
   Honestly I wonder how many people purchase items/services from ads that are forced on them.

      I've seen those ads too where you can't click them away. It's all about guaranteeing the advertiser their ads will actually be viewed. $$$$

   Faith, it sounds like you may have malware on your computer. I'm not seeing what you're seeing. At one point, I was seeing links that weren't there. When I'd hover on a link and ad would pop up. That was malware. I haven't had the problem since I got rid of it. Rachael O'Halloran recently published a hub about How to find malware on your computer and get rid of it free. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link here, but I've mentioned the title of her article verbatim. You should check it out. In the article she gives several options for detecting and removing malware but the one she really likes is Malwarebytes.org.

      Thanks Sha, I just had my husband take care of all of that late yesterday afternoon when I was having so much trouble with trying to write a new hub and such!  It seems to have improved, so I do hope that is the problem.  Thank you for sharing here!
