   How to cope with the early signs of Dementia?
   
   She married a man much older than her he  63 and she 42  and he has problems with memory and signs of  Dementia the very early signs that are  causing many problems in their marriage.
   How can she cope with him?
   The unnecessary arguments is  worsening the marriage.
   How can she cope with her husband on a daily basis?

   Stay active with something that is challenging to the mind like card games or music.  Get a current exam by a doctor to make sure something more serious is not happening.

   This can't be answered in one line. Coping with dementia needs a lot of patience and education. It's a non stop process of learning and it is a teamwork: he + she + therapist/friends/society.
   
   While every relationship is being tested because people change and the success depends on adaptability. In this case the patient with dementia will have a hard time to adapt to changes, so the other side must make few more steps (if she is willing to).
   
   Not an easy situation, that's for sure.

   There is a medication that helps to treat confusion if it's related to Alzheimer's. The earlier it's prescribed, the better. I believe it's called Aricept in the Philippines. Maybe you should ask your doctor about it..

   I am dealing with this also, he is 61. He does not want to seek help, in great denial. his causes fights and troubles in my marriage as well. He forget to shut the car off, close that hatch and backs out of the garage and crashes it with the hatch, looses stuff thinks I moved it, forgets everything, I get blamed for it. SIGH what to do, I have been avoiding him as much as possible, talking to him less. Table manners are getting bad, slurping, sucking noises, licks knives even in public. The personality is changing and getting annoying, hard to tolerate. I so feel for you , I really do know how you feel.
