When you need to make a decision which approach do you use?
Some use a list of pros and cons? Is there another method?
Instinct is another answer, which I use a lot.
Passion for something can change your decision, which I use a lot.
Help is the last, which I rarely use.
Frustration sets in when I can not seem to get an answer to some of my questions. I would keep a journal and write about it in a biblical perspective and found that calmed the storm inside me and gave me some insight that I could live with. That is a proven method for releasing your inhibitions.
I generally envision the logical outcome based on human tendencies and the most familiar ways of the world I've seen at work.
But when this fails, I dig out my trusty Magic 8 Ball
Great question and could be tough in the sense of every decision is premised with a question. I like answering "What, where, when, who, why, how, and how much" first. Sometimes not all of those are necessary. Once I know those I could drill down further for each category. Sometimes the 'real' reasons are revealed and a different course of 'action(s)' are seen.
Another method I learned is "Reveal - Notice - Respond - Witness". Reveal the question offering a purpose. Notice its impact. Respond with solution sets. And, make it real by writing it down. That was a simplified version shared. That is a method shared with a program called 'Natural Brilliance' aimed at getting out of 'Stuck States' offered by Learning Strategies.com.
With the 'known' or 'givens' for the problem or challenge revealed the 'W's and H's' to keep or maintain reinforcing the goal or objectives becomes more obvious. Also the things, elements, components, of which to avoid or eliminate, become more easily seen.
Best wishes on your adventure
I use a good oracle like the I-ching or a pendulum to look at future outcomes. Whichever has the best prediction, that is the way to go. The devices tune into the Universal Mind which knows all answers and the future. There is no risk when you know what is going to happen already.
First I look at my options. Then I look to see who and how my chose will effect others, not just myself. I apply logic and common sense, hand and hand with research and facts. Then I decide considering all of this information. Sometimes I even take a survey.

Why do people that don't believe in God, respond to questions about God?Don't get me wrong. I respect and appreciate every response, even if they disagree. That is everyone's right. But I usually don't waste time and energy in things that I don't believe in. Sure, I don't believe in Santa and still...

Why does God give children to those who abuse them? This has been a question that I have been trying to find an answer for. Discussing this through the years I honestly am looking for a true understanding of why? There are many in the world who would love to have children however they will never...

How do you know when seeking spiritual guidance on a decision when you've received the right answer?

eg the the people that didn't get healed when you prayed for them? Not enough faith? Hidden sin? God doesn't care? Answered prayers are really just luck anyway?

Does God listen to our petitions or do we need a "hearing-aid" to hear his answer?
