Frank, at least your views are up, that's something. HP have me totally bemused  at the moment, let's hope things improve soon.

I actually had a day where my entire portfolio of hubs received a total of 4 views for the day!  My niche is gardening so my traffic always falls off in the fall and winter, but 4 visitors is ridiculous.

My traffic and my earnings are both down.  It's very discouraging.  Fortunately, I also have a website which wasn't affected by the Panda/Penguin updates.  I seem to alternate my writing between Hub Pages and my website, depending on which one is making money for me.

OldRoses, that sounds like a good strategy, I haven't given much attention to my websites recently, I've been concentrating on HP, but I'm wondering if it isn't time to reassess my priorities.

My traffic hasn't changed a bit lately, and my earnings are up. Maybe this time I can scrape by without getting caught up in the downward spiral! Last time we had a big drop I had a 70% loss, so I will be happy if that never happens again.

peeples, good for you! I must have a look at your hubs to see where I'm going wrong. After the previous  google Panda update fiasco, my views doubled.

It is just not here.  My everything dropped off on another writing site that I am on and well Hubpages stats are so messed up at any given time I rarely now, if ever now look at them.  For instance I got two comments on one of my hubs on Monday and it showed that I did not get any views.  Seriously messed up!

My latest hub earned 21 comments in a couple of days but not a single page view!  I track my traffic through Google Analytics because the stats here are so behind.

Tell me about it! I had to contact HP on Saturday because my views seemed to be stock. I published a new hub, although I was getting comments, the number of views remained at "0", they eventually sorted it out, but HP seems to be struggling.

Oh and the comment timing is too.  Every time I comment on a comment on my hub or questions it them shows up on my notifications and then tells me that it is so and so old.  Was not on my notifs before that. It is a delay of about 12 hour to 2 hours.

Yep. Google Analytics constantly says I have about twice as many views as HP says! And with different traffic sources.

Yes, I hope things pick up, and I have been trying to be active. If anything it motivates me to write more and work harder. It can only get better!

I read somewhere that writers are penalized for duplicate content even when their original work has been stolen. This is worrying since many of my poems and articles have been taken. I don't have the time to file so many DMCA complaints. We'll see.

When I go through Google Search, it is very seldom I find a hub on the front pages. Maybe, I am just not searching the more popular topics. Our Squidoo lenses have also given existing hubs some competition as I know I have some titles that I have to change as older hubs already had that title. So, the loss of traffic is understandable. I observe, too, that Google likes some localization, local info, relevant info and these are the ones they highlight in my articles.

I have not been used to lots of traffic as I am only starting to SEO optimize my hubs but they had been down even more. My earnings, though, got better today which really surprised me. I jumped from the usual cents to a few dollars but then, I saw it was because of 2 Amazon sales. I work hard but I just need to be smarter.

aesta1, I think we all need to be smarter. Congrats on your Amazon sale and thanks for the great reply.

I stopped being active on here 2 or 3 years ago because I was disenchanted by the earnings. Now they are even worse. I´m happily writing for bubblews now, it´s much easier to get to redeem ($50) and fun too. No research and long posts needed and I´m earning around $100 per month just for writing about my life. I earned my first $50 payment in 4 weeks, it took me 6 months here on HP.

bac2basics, Bubblews is great when you're actually getting paid, but many writers are not. You seem to be doing well, long may it continues.

There are some delays due to updates on the site, but I have never NOT been paid in all the time I have been active.
