Please have a look at some of my hubs and tell me honestly what I'm doing wrong.
Just looked at yer Pelvic hub and it's really perfect, the only improvement I can see is to throw in a video on the topic from youtube, I find a good video keeps the reader on yer page longer, good luck !
Watch out folks, this guy BadCo is a fake fan. He seeks new hubbers to systematically plant nice comments on their pages just to get more fans. He is stupid enough to explain this ill-practice in his own hub. BadCo has obviously not even scrolled down my hub or he would have seen the video from Youtube.
I thought HubPages was a medium for authors to publish their work. Some people find his cheap style funny I don't. Can anyone explain to me what interest BadCo generates from the public outside of HubPages? Is n't that what we are after?
People like that should be banned. But first they should get a big wodge of cotton wool drenched in mustard shoved down their gobs. See, It's easy to be funny!
GOSH i was just about ready to post a friendly 'welcome to HubPages' comment.
i could be wrong, but i don't think it's a good idea for new people to come in here and start smacking down the locals.
Possibly not as easy as you thought.
There are many different styles of humor, some are more subtle than 'ya momma so fat she...' jokes.
i think your hubs are great - that is why i became your fan :)It just takes a bit of time to get a good amount of visitors from search engines to your hubs and work out all the little tricks you can do to help it along.
If you want to get more views from within hub pages the best ways are to participate in the forums; read and comment on other people's hubs and answer/pose questions. People will naturally click on your name if they haven't met you before.
I meant within your hub and having a fan means nothing to me, if it did why would I have deleted my past account with 500 fans on it. My hub was nothing but a wind up which you obviously didnt read properly or you would have seen that !
As for my style, if you don't like the food eat elsewhere !
Welcome Sue! I echo the advice of others, though - as a new Hubber, don't be too quick to judge, and be prepared to live and let live. Badco does rub some people up the wrong way, but he's not a bad person. As you get used to the site, you'll find it's quite easy to choose whom you associate with, depending on which forums you frequent.
As for your Hubs - my only question is, do you own the copyright to the photos you've used? All photos posted on the internet are copyright by the photographer unless it's specifically stated otherwise. You would be upset if someone republished your articles without asking, so it's only fair to give the same courtesy to photographers.
I get all my photos from Flickr. Use the Advanced Search, click on "Creative Commons" and "for commercial use" and the result is photos you can use freely, provided you credit the photographer and include a link to their photostream in your Hub.

I like helping people with their hubs. I've gotten to know the ins and outs and how it works. I know how to use the tools and other websites to drive your traffic. If you are new post hubs in here and I will get to each one of them to let you know what I think

As many of you know, HP has recently provided us with a number of new ways to record feedback to the writers of hubs. In addition to just making ordinary comments, you can now add reinforcing clicks by simply checking the words "Useful", " Funny", "...

We all want hubpages to be full of hubs that are informative, containing facts, well-researched observations, or personal insights in various areas. Yet some of the most popular hubs are, frankly, JUNK, IMHO. Here's one, again, IMHO:http://hubpages.com/hub/iPhone-5-ReviewSince iPhone 5 doesn't...

I've been doing a lot of thinking about the types of services we offer Hubbers and how to help Hubbers improve.A few services that have been suggested- grammar and spell checking- suggesting edits- providing images/media upon request- formatting help (breaking hubs into multiple text capsules,...

I put this in the "answers" section and it actually should've been posted here. Many of us may be not performing to our fullest potential because we haven't taken a critical eye to each others' content. I would like to offer you some constructive criticism. If you have a hub or...
