   What is your opinion on the legalization of marijuana?
   
   Over the more recent years, some of the American States have begun to legalize marijuana, what are your thoughts on this? do you think that its a good idea that it is becoming more and more available to the public? Should states continue to legalize the product? Should other countries begin to re-evaluate their laws and legalize it too?

   We know scientifically that the active ingredient in marijuana (THC) damages human brains; thus, it should not be legalized. How can any ethical government legalize something that damages brains of the people it governs?

   Alcohol and tobacco are legal, yet they are every bit as addicting and every bit as harmful as marijuana.  The revenue gained from these products keep the government happy.  Marijuana won't be much different. They will tax it so they get their share of any profits made from it no doubt.  Then what ever harm becomes from it brings on other businesses to spring up to help the addicts try to stop using it.  Drugs have ruined small town USA already so legal or not it won't matter much. Help us all if they don't start clamping down on the hard drug users. Marijuana is nothing in compared to heroin and other drugs killing our young people. So yes make it legal maybe the revenue can be used to stop the other drugs from coming into the country.

      I would rather have the police chasing harden criminals and get rid of the dealers pushing deadly stuff.  Too many drug overdoses killing our kids.

   Legalize it, tax it. I would rather people be getting it from monitored, controlled sources as opposed to a hodgepodge of who knows what that goes into the stuff you get illegally. I don't think the usage would change much where I am (BC) if it were legalized. It's pretty accessible here, if you want it you can get it easily. Legalizing it will cut down on bad product (THC laced with more dangerous drugs/substances) and we can stop wasting time and money on criminalizing it. Tobacco is WAY more dangerous in pretty much every possible way, so I think the priorities are a bit jumbled.

   Cannabis was put on this earth to smoke by GOD, & it was put here for many good reasons....For instance it's a totally natural plant which you can make: Oil with many medical properties, clothes, rope, bio-degradable plastic (yes plastic), the first car built was built with hemp panels which would make a car bio-degradable, + many other bio-degradable products..So why aren't we using it & why isn't it legal?, because big business wouldn't be able to make billions from Petroleum Oil & "their" version of a cancer cure....Also we have a THC receptor system in our brains which is "ONLY" there to process THC, so it's clearly there to smoke to help us relax & get into a meditative state....The only people that don't think it's there to smoke & good to smoke, are the people that have been brainwashed into believing it's bad for them when it's actually very good for them....I'm not saying it's good to smoke all day long because it's not, but to relax & think about where our life is going & make the right decisions it's a MUST!. :-)

   It's been on earth forever. People have smoked for thousands of years. So that kills the brain damage theory. Those people came and went thoughout the centuries. Some foods are even more harmful. The real issue is safety and responsibility. History shows that alcohol and tobacco causes health issues, are destructive and out of control. What makes anyone think people are going be responsible with mind altering drugs? It's one thing to risk their own safety, it's another to destroy others lives with their lack of self control under the influence.

   I am opposed to legalising it because it is bad for people's brain and health. If it will do good for human consumption then fine but it is a health hazard.
