Power means (control, authority, influence, clout, or command).
The opposite of power is "powerless". (weak, helpless, incapable, defenseless, and immobilized).
A powerless person usually lacks self-confidence and must rely on others because they believe they have no control over what happens in their life. They go whichever way the wind blows.
Powerless people are usually followers. They feel safer in the pack.
The opposite of power is............powerlessness. People who are powerless are considered to be personae non gratae. They have no influence over others. They are oftentimes ostracized, demonized, even marginalized by others because as a result of being perceived as personae non gratae.
People who are powerless are considered to be disposable. They can be easily victimized because they can't, don't, and/or won't speak up for their rights. They are often disrespected as they are not considered to have influence. Their talents and contributions are minimalized because they are deemed to be insignificant.
People who are powerless have a very negative mindset. They believe that life HAPPENS to them instead of making life happen. They have a passive, fatalistic, and victim mentality. They contend that everything is stacked against them. They feel that they are in a proverbial and psychic bottomless pit from which they feel that they are unable to leave.
People who are powerless tend to settle instead of striving for the best. They feel that they don't deserve the best that life has to offer. They are quite content with the crumbs of life. They are further satisfied with a less than positive, even negative, lifestyle rather it is a dead end job, an abusive relationship, and/or unending socioeconomic struggle. They feel such things are fated.
People who are powerless can be exploited by others because they feel that they are worthless as human beings. They are the ones who willingly give their power away. They are the ones who submerge their personalities into a person whom they deem to be more authoritative than they are. They are the ones who slavishly worship and emulate people in authority, even vicariously living through them.
People who are powerless do not plan & strategize for their futures. They live for immediate gratification to fill some type of void in their lives. They are the ones who act irrationally and illogically in terms of their lifestyle. They even do things which can be detrimental, even dangerous because they do not have the sufficient self-esteem to do things that are constructive & detrimental.
People who are powerless imbue negativity. They are in purgatorial to hellish situations but either can't or won't own up to their responsibility in the matter & improve their lives. They would rather blame others than to be accountable in their lives.
Love is the only power, and power is an aspect of love. Still, I'm also very into seeing words in the context in which they are used. Power today implies some of what the girls have said, but I would call it Greed or Ego. It's opposite is humility or poverty, a virtuous quality of the God-faring Souls.
