Ladies, What age did you get your first bikini?
1- Infant!
2-8 -10
3- 11-14
4- 15-18
5- 18 and up
I think I was pretty young, like 6 or 7. My mom loved to put me in bikinis. Nowadays, I don't have any swim suits.
I think I was 12 or 13, but I was only allowed to wear it at home for sun bathing or swimming etc. If I went out to the public swimming pools or lake I had a one piece until I was a little older.
Thirteen!
But i don't think its a bad thing if younger girls wear bikinis as long as they aren't outrageous and super revealing. I think kids should be kids and they shouldn't have to worry about all that grown up nonsense until they are grown up.
I was 18 years old; I bought it for myself, from Contempo Casuals, my favorite boutique. It was a string bikini, crocheted in a rainbow. I have since developed an hourglass figure; if I wore it now, I would be obscene. LOL! It was definitely a departure from the dorky one piece suit I'd been wearing since I was an oversize 11 year old!
Probably like 18 or 19 - I'm not much of a beach-goer and I don't really like swimming, so I never saw a need for one until then...

At what age will you let your child go into a public restroom alone?I am a mother of a 12 year old son and I am very nervous about mall safety. I don't allow him to go to the bathroom on his own. When he is in there on his own, I have no idea what is happening.
