I found a toothpick once.  But it was something a lady made at work.  It was for a Christmas party and and she formed a bunch of pastries of pastries into a Christmas wreath and used toothpicks to attach them to each other.

I think I remember find a small bone in a can of chicken salad,

I found crickets in my salad at Olive Garden. I told the manager and our meal was free and we got free dessert

My wife found a strand of hair in her salad. We advised the waiter, who told the manager. The manager apologized, changed out both salads, personally, and gave us the meal on the house. We went back there several times. We were only expecting for the salad to be replaced. Some people know it helps to take the extra step.
