Why can't I click on a hub while hub hopping to follow someone and comment and vote?
Obviously, I missed another memo about hub hopping, as I wanted to follow a hubber and comment on a hub, but it would not allow me to click on the hub to do so. Plus, I noticed that the hubber's name is no longer on the hubs so that we can at least search for them to follow. I think it is good to not show the author while hub hopping or their profile pic so that we are focusing solely on the writing, but one should be able to check them out further. Thank you for clarifying this for me, and maybe it is just my computer?
Faith, it seems hub hopping is only for rating or reporting. I found this blog post. When I clicked on the embedded link, it brought up a hub for me to rate or report and that's it. As you say, it doesn't even give the name of the hubber. This seems weird to me. Why not at least add a profile button so we can learn more about the poster, read more of their work and follow if we so choose? Anyway, here's the link to the post I found:

Hi Sha, thank you for the post and it is odd that one cannot click on the actual hub to share or vote up, plus follow that particular hubber if one so chooses to do so.
I know, I have often wondered what the heck is going on in the minds of this website's developers. They are constantly tinkering with the most logical things like this to save on 'real estate' and 'make things better' - or replacing good programs that people don't use because they don't know about them.
But, they do such a mediocre job; and an even worse job of informing the community about any changes. One little blurb (if we get one) in the blog in the low right corner is not a good place for people to see changes that are being made; and apparently, people don't read the follow-up emails that are being sent out very well, either.
Obviously, something different needs to be happening... but let's not change the way we do things because that would be harder (I guess). They need at least one good marketing person in the mix, maybe a few of them. If they already have them, it doesn't show. (Yeah, sorry... I've done this rant a few times.
Hi Catherine, thank you for your rant, as all of your thoughts and suggestions are certainly worth putting out there. I like the hub hopping from way back when, then they changed it, and now here again. I just don't get why we can't click on it.

Does anyone else miss the old hub hopping version? - I am not a fan of the new version. It is too difficult to stop hopping and get back to your home page.

In light of the Google algo change, it is now obvious and confirmed that hub-hopping is VERY important. I feel that if you publish here, you should hub hop when you can. As it should hopefully increase our revenue and hopefully take this hubpages back to the top, where it belongs. The problem is...

I like hopping hubs, learning new things and meeting other hubbers. However, I have absolutely no interest in reading hubs on religion, politics, poems, fictional stories or some far away place I will never visit so I skip them. Usually this is no big deal but I just hopped about 30 hubs and no...

I have been hub hopping lately and I am disgusted with the incoherent garbage that I am coming across - nothing but poorly translated articles of about 400 words, usually without even any formatting. I would say that more than half of the articles I randomly encounter are clearly nothing but spun...

I was really excited when I saw this new feature because I thought it was a great way to support, get to know and interact with other hubbers...But...for the most part, with some exceptions it is a load of garbage. When I think of all the painstaking time I take putting a hub together...and I...

When you are "Hub Hopping" do you make a comment?I never know if I should write a comment or just read, give it an up or down, flag it, and just move on to the next one.
