Why do we not remember our past lives ?

We do, during our dreams. We live in a objective dream world when we are awake and in a subjective dream world when we are sleeping.

There is a reason why we cannot remember all our past lives. Our soul is infinitely old with an infinite amount of experiences. You'll get an overload when you would remember all of it. All these memories form to what we are now today through our conscience and consciousness.

During our dreams we are cut of from the objective world. Our senses stopped to work to a certain degree, and we turn automatically inward to our subjective soul consciousness, where all the memories of past are stored. It's a kind of free float through an infinite pool of memories. Some of the experiences and memories stored from past lives pass our mind mostly depending of the kind of experiences we had last day or last week. We can learn a lot from our dreams when we are able to interpret them correctly.

Dreams are no predictions of the future, because the future cannot be predicted, it isn't there yet. We have free will. But free will can come with a  price that we've paid before. When we keep continuing the path that we're go along, the soul can warn you, based on past lives experiences, that this or that might be the outcome. It's always good to remember a dream, to write the serious ones down, and possibly talk about them. Try to analyse your dream is always a good thing.

In dreams everything is possible, since the objective laws of nature do not apply there, and this makes dreams sometimes too weird to explain to others (in the objective world).

I hope I was able to explain this question a little bit. This knowledge doesn't come solely from me. It's passed on through a society of initiates.

you mean before we were born? Catholics do not believe in reborn. But chinese do. It was said that the souls had to drink a potion to forget past lives

Why do you assume there are past lives if you cannot remember them?  The whole notion lacks empirical support; thus, it should be disregarded as folklore.

Is there any empirical evidence for the mind? Thus, the mind must be rejected? Empiricism is useless for any topic higher than matter. You only need to understand higher mathematics to understand the concepts of mind over matter, and reincarnation.

I suspect it would interfere too much with our current lives and possibly affect the outcome in a negative manner.
