"There are two things you can't take back; "one is a word once it is spoken and the other is" ?
I once was told the following quote by a very wise person; however, I can not remember the second part. Has anyone else heard this quote and can provide me with the answer; or, can someone contribute their own finish to this once spoken quote? Thank you!
"There are two things you can't take back; one is a word once it is spoken and the other is..."?
yes the quote is :
You cannot take back the two things , one is the word when its spoken and the other is the arrow that has been shot from the bow.
and the first one is more severe as you cannot take your words back so there is another famous quote based upon this 'think before you speak'.
Thanks, Sakshi! I am not positive of the correct answer; but, perhaps you might also know who might have said this quote or the origin of the quote? I do, however, like your answer and appreciate. Also, thanks for the other quote as well!
most welcome. Actually its a very common quote so i don't know the name of the originator perhaps if I find it I would let you know. Thank you for appreciation .
I just searched for this. I think the originator is Idries Shah. The person defines the third thing as well i.e. a missed opportunity
What Sakshi is referring to is a quote found in India in almost all languages.
I have spoken many words but the only thing I wish to get back is my daughter's innocence, and to bare the burden of Eve, as i was the one who ate the fruit.
Good day, Mel Stewart and thank you for your comment. I am sorry for the burden that you have. I am still pondering over your comment, as I am not certain of the meaning behind it. I wish that I could help more than know the meaning. Thank you, again
I dreamt a very "real" dream in which I was Eve, & my daughter Mary Magdalene, thus wondered if we were perhaps the reincarnate of they? My husband stole her innocence. I only found out when I caught him in her bedroom, pants. down, thus I feel g
"I have spoken many words but the only thing I wish to get back is my daughter's innocence, I caught him in her bedroom, pants. down, thus I feel g." This doesn't sound like "a dream?" Is it?
True, that part was definitely not a dream. I have a criminal record from breaking his nose to prove it. But the rest was just a dream, though it felt very real. I bawled my eyes out. I felt the guilt of Eve &thus I feel it is mine, perhaps I am
Mel: We ALL make bad choices (husband) & u did what I probably would've done (if not more) but forgive yourself & him & seek counseling for your baby! It's your child's well being that's important. Dont dwell on past be there for her fut
"Blaspheming" against the Holy Spirit!
Mark 3:28-30 says "Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies with which they shall blaspheme; But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Spirit hath NEVER forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."
There is but "ONE SPIRIT" (Ephesians 4:4-6); therefore, do not remain "ignorant" by continuing to believe "man-made" interpretation (RELIGION) of Scripture which tells one there is a "Trinity" which functions as "three different "PERSONS!"
PERSON: "An entity recognized by the law as "SEPARATE" AND "INDEPENDENT..." (Duhaime's Law Dictionary)
GOD'S GLORIES as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit is "ONE SPIRIT" (Did you hear that, "ONE SPIRIT?") which includes the "GLORY" of the Holy Spirit.
If Scripture says "ONE SPIRIT" (Ephesians 4:4-6) and you continue in this belief, you "blaspheme against the Holy Spirit" which is the unpardonable sin!

Cruising these forums it's easy to see that there are a few atheists who spend their time protesting against God's existence and accusing the brethren in general. But why are they afraid to speak against the Holy Spirit?Could it be these verses of scripture?;Matthew 12:30-37"He who is not with...

In the Bible Mark 3:28-29 Jesus says,“Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal damnation". What is blaspheme against the Holy Spirit?...
