Girls are developing and wearing revealing clothing earlier, What problems come from this?
As for the earlier development, some feel this is caused by too many calories in the diet as well as chemicals in their food and environmental factors such as exposure to chemicals that affect human hormones. Some health issues that can arise from girls developing early are increased breast and ovarian cancer rates among other health issues. Not eating clean whether by choice or lack of money can cause many issues from an early age.
As for wearing revealing clothing, this does not allow the girl to be a girl and experience childhood fully. Wearing revealing clothing is often an attempt to fit in with others and/or get attention. There are many problems that may arise, perhaps the girl is not physically or mentally comfortable when wearing such clothes or she may be given attention that she was not seeking.
The problems that come from this are largely societal in nature and also outdated. There's nothing wrong a young girl wearing "revealing" clothing - she's just a human with a body and if grown adults are going to sexualize her then the problem lies with them and not her. A girl should not be shamed for her body, because there is nothing inherently wrong with her body. That being said, there is also nothing wrong with the exposure of skin if that's what she's comfortable with. It is SOCIETY that tells us it's wrong and shameful and an invitation to dehumanize her, when it's not. Just a girl being comfortable in her own skin.
Revealing clothing on a child is, in my view, a non-issue. Or at least it should be so. The problem is that the unspoken rule of "hands-off" a young child, girl or boy does not seem to be in force and there are adults who will, given the opportunity, take [sexual] advantage of a child.
I doubt that any style of clothing will protect that child from the exploitation of those immoral adults, and in fact, both girls and boys are.
The important point is that the problem is the violators and not the victims.
Most children have no income therefore their clothing is provided by their parents. Naturally if you makeup a young girl in sexy attire she is going to be mistaken for being older than she is and therefore may draw attention from older male teens and men.
Parents are responsible for setting dress codes for their children.
Oftentimes people turn this into a gender/social issue.
Some people have said: "A woman should be able to walk the streets butt naked." However one has to ask:
"Is it the {smart thing} to do?"
You should be able to go to bed leaving your front door open..etc
It's not about what's right or wrong. No one wants to be dead right.
Pedestrians have "the right of way" and yet we look both ways before crossing the street. We're all obligated to look out for ourselves. Understanding what attracts conmen/predictors is key.
Maturity entails understanding what messages we may be unintentionally sending others. Some people would rather to attempt to change society than to change themselves.
Being self consumed and not paying attention to one's surroundings is dangerous. Awareness reduces victimization.

Why do women dress up in skimpy / revealing clothes?Women seem to enjoy dressing up in clothes that reveal significant amounts of their bodies, leaving very little to imagination. Why is this? could there be a scientific reason for it? Doesn't it promote the whole idea of being objectified?
