What do you imagine the apostles saying to the churches today?

Specifically what do you imagine them saying to churches in America? Do you see them agreeing with the likes of Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer ect? Or do you see them having harsh words for preachers like these?

Stand up for the Christians being slaughtered in the Middle East. Bring them to safety instead of Sunni Muslims and economic migrants.

"Standing up" for righteousness is a "by-product" of being BORN AGAIN!
Google how many x's BOLDNESS is displayed in Scripture & if one is not, ACCURSED!

The message would still be the same. They would speak against the man- driven "church" system and their "holy" temples they have created for themselves. The example of Stephen was that he went out and confronted the "sainted sages" of the religious system by speaking out against them.

Today, the "church" member will attempt to refute the messenger of truth who vigorously and actively speaks out and exposes their religious rhetoric. When the "wolves" are exposed for their deception, their "packs" will attack the messenger.

And they stirred up the people and the elders and the scribes, and they came upon him and seized him and brought him before the council, and they SET UP FALSE WITNESSES who said, “This man never ceases to speak words against this holy place and the law, for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses delivered to us.” - Acts 6:12-14

False preachers will avoid at all costs a direct open and honest confrontation with the truth of Scripture. Their method is ad hominem with false accusations and often will resort to appealing to cherry-picked Scripture references used out of context. The method of operation is attack the man, avoid the argument.

But they cried out with a loud voice and STOPPED THEIR EARS and rushed together at him. - Acts 7:57

“Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you FALSELY on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. - Matthew 5:10-12

False preachers do not like the truth, When confronted with it, they send their puppets to attack at their bidding. When men will no longer discuss the the truth of Scripture, it becomes a willful refusal to listen. When they become too busy stopping their ears, they will rush to find "stones" to throw.

Listen! The Apostles knew the heart of Jesus and the truth about him - they were still connected to him. WE canbe connected in the same way - that was Jesus' original message. Today, our Prophets speak through music, media and responses like this. smile

MsFit: PRECISELY! We r "connected to HIM, "IF" we obey! "OBSERVE" the Apostles (Matt 28:20); "WAIT" for Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4); Follow ONLY "The Gospel of Christ" (Gal 1:6-9); Follow the 1 who acted in "CHRIST STEAD" - PAUL (Acts 9:15;I Cor 11:1)!

The message from Christ’s angel to the seven groups of called out believers (churches) told of attributes. Attributes mentioned were both positive and negative. Rewards were mentioned for those that would hold fast and in some cases repent. Negative judgment was also stated for those that continued in their ways and remained unrepentant.

Today most of Christianity ignore the negative conditions could exist in their buildings, yet most claim or seek after the rewards without the obedience. The further from the New Testament teachings and ways the greater the deception and darkness has become.

The church buildings and denominations of men are full of false apostles, adulterous behavior, judgmental slander, false teachings, false doctrines, false prophets, immorality, dead braggers of life, indifference to God, wicked men, poor rich people, and the blind. We know this because the words of Christ warn us. (Revelation 2-3:22)

Ecclesiastes 1:9 That which has been is that which will be, and that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.

Revelation 3:17  'Because you say, "I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing," and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,

When man took the services written to the Ephesians by Paul, numbered and called them ministries it created conditions in the body. Making titles and vocations out of service descriptions has destroyed the intent of Paul’s remarks to the Ephesians. When the intent of something is changed from a service to a titled position the gift from God is destroyed. The service was sent by God to build up the body of Christ. The positions built by man is for man not the body of Christ. Without the spiritual gifts from God to build up the body of Christ it becomes wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

Revelation 3:18  I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.

I don't think the Apostles would say anything, they would be so mad they'd be to busy turning over pews and alters.

I could imagine this being Paul or Peter. This is why Paul wrote letters to churches in every city; to ensure sound doctrine was being taught and when it was not, he became very angry indeed.

The apostles would confront them about the lies they're teaching - some of them might repent?  The ones you mention specifically refuse to instruct the body of Christ of Christ's harder teachings, so the body remains in a lukewarm condition, unable to grow up into Christ because few in the body understand that being born again is only the beginning of their salvation; each Christian must allow Christ to take them through his sanctifying process, through which we "buy gold refined by fire" (Revelation 3:18).  Those in the body that are hurting - wounded, twice a soul, divided Christians - they're kept from the teachings of Christ that are meant to lead us into wholeness and purity. I trust the apostles would chase out most ministers so God could replace them with those of His choosing.

The Apostles would find that today's Churches have completely deviated from the original Holy Scriptures, both in theory and practice. People completely ignoring the Old Testament, and blindly following the New Testament only. E.g., the non-observance of the Sabbath day the seventh day Ex 20:8-10 (Saturday Plse ref Mark 16:1-2 & 9), (Jesus had risen from the dead on a Sunday, the first day of the week, and Mary Magdalene had visited the grave on the day AFTER the Sabbath day),  replaced by Sunday practice. The Apostles observed a Saturday Sabbath themselves (Acts 17:2-3), so did Jesus Christ our Lord as well (Lk 4:16). They would find addition and subtraction in the word of God itself, a direct disobedience to God's decree, Rev 22:18-19. They would find pagan practices abound in form of cross reverence, idol worship by Catholics. Non observance of Lord's feasts and festivals (Lev 23). They would have a very hard time in finding the real believers (Luke 18:8) as would the Christ on his second coming, infact hardly any candidates for salvation and the later judgement, except those who have found real meaning of Heb 9:28. Faithful they'd find aplenty, but not practitioners of the Holy Scriptures (James 2:19-20), believers but not obedient to the Lord's decrees. They would find very few who would recognize the Christ who appears in form of the Holy Spirit and Bride in these last days. Then who will gain access to the Kingdom of God (Rev 22:17)? This video would help you understand better. https://youtu.be/LUKkWlllI08?list=PL74860684AAFB95...

"..and blindly following the New Testament only." Did Christ DIE IN VAIN? Do u live under "law" (Old Covenant) or "Grace" (New Covenant)? Read Galatians Chptr 4!

Why would you ask such a question?

Be it Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer or ANYONE ELSE, the message would be as IT IS WRITTEN:

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:  Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would "pervert the gospel of Christ."  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be ACCURSED.  As we say before, so say I now AGAIN, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, LET HIM BE ACCURSED" (Galatians 1:6-9)!

JESUS did not chose Paul as a Vessel (Acts :15) to act in HIS stead for NOTHING!  Whether one wants to believe it or not, Paul spoke on JESUS' behalf and for those that don't believe, they will be "ACCURSED!"

We CURRENTLY live under the New Covenant of Grace and Truth, yet MOST don't want obey JESUS' commandment before HIS ascension in Matthew 28:20 "OBSERVE the APOSTLES!"  Since you don't obey, where does that leave them (I Corinthians 10:21)?

Go ahead, believe "man" rather than GOD and remain "ACCURSED!"

Somewhere in the Bible it states, " for those who have eyes let them see, for those who have ears let them hear and for those who have mouths let them speak. Now, this is just my take on this . Maybe there are people who should see and speak and hear it. Yet, many may not see, hear or see the word today in many churches.

Read the whole chapter of Matthew 23 and you will get an idea of what the apostles would say to the church leaders and TV preachers of today.....By the way Jesus Christ and Jehovah God are thoroughly disgusted with ALL false relgion, because they have thoroughly misrepresented God and Jesus Christ to the point that people are disgusted with religion and the Bible.
