Did Donald Trump encourage "2nd Amendment People" to kill Hillary if she gets elected?
He says if she gets to pick her judges, there's nothing we can do. But maybe for Second Amendment People...
I think he's running his mouth and trying to lose. I think he wants to "win" but doesn't want the actual job, so he's making a mockery of the system by being as outlandish and controversial as he can.
I also think the media loves to spin fear and sensationalist garbage. I think what he probably meant was the 2nd amendment supporters would band together to fight whoever she might choose. I highly doubt it was a veiled threat at murder. Even if it was, it's not like it's a surprise he is saying something stupid again. It's his "shtick" in this embarrassment of an election cycle.
That being said, Clinton made a veiled statement towards Obama at one point during their primaries, talking about not dropping out and the Kennedy assassination being in June. No one went on a tirade that she was wanting him to die or be killed etc. It wasn't blowing up the internet or parroted endlessly on TV that I recall.
I think we have two awful candidates, a media that doesn't do its job anymore and is there to spread fear and propaganda, and a population of people who are content to get fed their "information" through these channels without looking at anyone on "their side" with a critical eye.
When we get to a point where people look at all politicians with scrutiny, instead of just demonizing "them" and making excuses for "us", we might get somewhere. Until then, we'll have sensationalist headlines, carnival shows etc. and the beat goes on.
I think you are right that he is just trying to stir the pot, but iIf he meant that they would band together to keep her from getting elected, that's not what he said.
Exactly! If he MEANT "voters", he should have said VOTERS. Not "you 2nd amendment people". He is so delusional.
Everything that Trump does gets negative and skewed coverage making it a so called critical issue, while the media doesn't do the same when Clinton's criminal and other nefarious issues come out. So that really is the issue, not what Trump said.
I don't think Trump wants anyone to kill Mrs. Clinton, but we don't want someone acting on Trump's remarks. With those words out there, he can't control a person from taking action. An animal rights protester rushed the stage on Clinton in Iowa, but the Secret Service stopped him before he got near the candidate. Trump states his remarks were a joke, but this is definitely no laughing matter.
Again, we need to apply the same filters to both candidates, but the media and the sheep that follow the media avoid any Clinton issues while making every word from Trump a major prob. The prob is in the people not Trump. It is political Rhetoric
I've spent a fair bit of time around people with strong positive feelings for the Second Amendment and hear these types of 'solutions' involving guns A LOT. I take them mostly as jest. I suspect Trump's comment was no different. A classless joke, a joke unworthy of someone running for President, but a joke nonetheless.
As for him suggesting that he actually meant a democratic solution, give me a break. There is no mystery to classless jerks. Everything they do is classless jerkishness. There is no reason to waste time on wonder with him.
I am actually pro Second Amendment myself. I'm offended by his characterization that gun owners might take out politicians they don't agree with. If people are thinking that way, they don't need any encouragement.
Sherry, he never said shoot or kill. The media implied it, and all their sheep parrot it.
His words implied it all their own. Blaming the media is pure cowardice. I wish more people had some actual balls and just stood by what they say rather than whining about being picked on. It is unbearably pathetic.
Trump is the biggest, loudest, brashest, con artist I have ever seen in my many years of living on planet earth.
His rabid fans are just as delusional as he is.
If he MEANT to say voters could stop Hillary, then that is what he should have said.
But Trump says what his "2nd amendment" NRA, gun carrying, zombies want him to say - that THEY have the power to stop Clinton.
The problem is they only understand things as it relates to their irrational FEAR of gun control.
Hillary Clinton can no more change the 2nd amendment (without 2/3rds of the Congress and Senate) than Obama could.
Funny how Obama has had more assassination attempts in presidential history. Now, I guess the gun toting 2nd amendment "voters" will turn their FEAR into death threats against Hillary. Because that's what their "Fearless Leader" wants them to do.
Never mind that neither Obama or Hillary could take away their toys.
And seriously, they think Clinton is LITERALLY "the devil". Delusional at best, and dangerous in the present times.
Wow, missed that devil description in Sunday School class, did they?
Clinton may not be literally "the devil", but she could win an Oscar for her portrayal of the devil.
BTW, there is a difference betw gun owners, and gun totters, and many states allow totters. It seems like Blk lives matter is more of a gun threat
No, of course he didn't, he's referring to the strong voting block that supports the NRA, which also includes many Democrats.
Given the strong push of the current administration to limit gun rights and Hillary's strong politically leftward turn, most of those that value the 2nd amendment rightly believe that Hillary would appoint judges and enact executive orders to effectively do away with the right to bear arms.
WBA, I agree, and the reason we still can own guns is because the NRA is a powerful political organization, not assassins.
