    Dear Elizabeth,

if a parent has the right to bring you to this world, then they do have right to interfere with their children's life...............

Anyway, it is for good and better life they have experienced all problems so they know what is right and wrong.......

But when children become a teenager then they feel they know everything and parent don't understand present life style....

what ever the situation in present future the consequences remain the same so a parent can give you advice if they feel you are going through the wrong path.

You don't know how important parents are in life....because now you may not like them interfering but when you start your life with your partner and have a child then you will always need them. The girl will really know what mother means when she experiences motherhood.

when you feel bad just look at the world and think what if you were an orphan without parents to interfere what would be your life in today's society will you have this boyfriend or friends. Never.................

So think that way and try to respect them and obey them if it is sensible or gives you opinion they will agree if they feel it is right and regret if it is wrong.

you are lucky you have them so.
If you are a parent and you have a child of your age will you allow your child to do anything they like good or bad? If they don't like your interference and shout at you. will you tolerate this.....
Ask this to yourself what you feel right may be wrong in their eyes.

As a woman , it is very easy to spoil your name and image ,
but difficult to earn a good name. So parents will take more care.

Afterall still if you happen to face problem then it is your fate.

    Regards,
    Ashish

Why is it easy to spoil one's name/image if one is a woman? Is it not equally so for a man? Are you a chauvinist Sir? A good way never 2 see your children again is 2 interfere in their lives uninvited about things you no longer have any control over.

C E Clark, thank you for your reply. I agree with you about what you've said for the relationship between parents and children.
