Interesting question for Hubbers - do you believe the U.S. government or Wikileaks? And why?
Just for curiosity, do you believe what the U.S. government is telling you through the mass media or do you believe what Wikileaks is telling you with their leaks that the government does not want you to see?
We all know that we're lied to by the U.S. government, that Snowden exposed the lies about the government spying on all Americans.
So, with the corruption exposed in hillary killary's campaign, the DNC, the exposed lies over decades from the U.S. Government which do you rely on the most - U.S. Government or Wikileaks and the "of the wall" websites that expose lies?
I believe our own intelligence was caught spying on our own senate committees. Even the battleaxe Pelosi was upset about it. But they all forgive and forget when it becomes convenient and useful for them again.
Mainstream media, including much of the entertainment industry is the enemy of the American people. We should all be building trebuchets and using them to return our tv sets.
Had to look up that word - trebuchets - it would be a great way to return TV's LOL
So, our own people are spying on our own people, yet blaming Russia for Americans disgust with our government.
It todays world, it all makes sense!
Cheers
I don't believe our government will ever give us the unadulterated, unvarnished truth - at any given time there are too many factors to consider. And I wouldn't want them to. It is the media's job to hold their feet to the fire and ask the difficult questions. That's our representation in the process. (And how easy to manipulate us into not trusting our own representatives.) It is their job to protect us. Does the government use their positions to their own advantage and sometimes neglect their responsibilities to the American people? In hindsight, we know it has happened time and time again. Does the media sometimes do a poor job or have an agenda? In hindsight, we know it has happened time and time again. Is there another way the individual's relationship with his/her government could work? -In 2040 years we haven't thought of one. Lesson: Stop watching/listening/challenging your free press at your own peril.
So, you're saying we should always question what is being told to us by our government and the media outlets they use, or the so called "journalists" that "report" U.S. Government propaganda?
Do you read "alternative" sources to help you?
Cochran doesn't trust r government but she trusts r media? That says volumes about how she thinks. Our media, unelected, proven to be in cahoots w/Ds is who we should trust to get the truth?not our elected officials &the system? - insanity.

It has not just been the last 8 years that we should be skeptical of the government, and their activities.
If it weren't were whistleblowers, and other leaks, the average American wouldn't have a clue what the government is doing and hiding.
We even let the government pass the Patriot Act in Peace Time, The United States has not formally declared war since World War II. Under Article I, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, Congress has sole power "to declare war [and] grant letters of marque and reprisal." But Article II, Section 2 provides that "The president shall be Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States." While it's clear that the Framers intended for Congress alone to declare war, presidents don't always check with Congress before acting. After President Harry Truman bypassed Congress to go to war in Korea, presidents have paid almost no attention to the constitutional requirements.
The passing of the Patriot Act legalized the existing and continued violations of the 4th am by the NSA. It just extended it to the government at large.
So yes, I don't think any one should patriotically just think that the government is honest and above board. Yes, they have to keep secrets for national security, but not secrets where they have gone off the constitution.
Instead of focusing on the Hillary leaks, we should have focused on their validity and veracity. Then if they were valid and true, we need to ask the government why they were honest with the American people and why they instead of wiki leaks didn't bring this information out in the public.
The Russia red herring has taken the spotlight off of the FBI, DOJ and the State Department on their failure to protect National Security, while the NSA, CIA and other intelligence agencies violate the privacy of the average citizen.
US gov failed on 911 to protect the country. They also failed on WMD which took the US into another lost WAR. Their predecessor also failed on Pearl Harbor. Coincidence??
US gov sn be confused with the Boy Scouts oath.
In short, the government especially during the Obama terms has been caught being less than truthful.
Originating as a unit to decipher coded communications in World War II, it was officially formed as the NSA by Pres Harry S. Truman in 1952. Since then, it has become one of the largest U.S. intelligence orgs in terms of personnel and budget, operating as part of the Dept of Defense and simultaneously reporting to the Dir of National Intel.
So, what you're saying is Americans can't trust those that they elect.
They also cannot trust those that work in "clandestine" organization to protect us and be truthful with us.
If we can't trust our leaders and those they hire, who do we trust?
John
We have to trust in Trump to drain the swamp.
That is scary.
I'd rather have Trump in office vs. hillary killary, but with all the picks from Goldman Sachs - draining the swamp with those guys, will be tough - since they helped build the swamp.
We shall see..........
Yeah, I've hear that before or to catch a crook, think like a crook.
We shall see - Trump may have the hutzpah to succeed.
Have a great New Year bradmaster!
Cheers
John Happy New Year for you to, I am hoping that my happy starts on Jan 20.
