   Should Trump extend an olive branch to Theresa May to save her job as PM ?
   
   Trump might be able to help her stay put by talking to her about a great trade deal with America- thus calming those calling for her to be ousted.

   There are now 328 Right Wing Capitalist MPs (Conservatives and DUP) and 322 Left wing Socialist MPs (all the other political parties) in the House of Commons.  This gives the right wing parties just a slim majority of 6.  Deduct the Speaker of the House of Commons, who currently is a Conservative MP, and that brings the difference to just 5 e.g. under British tradition, which dates back to the 14th century, the Speaker of the House of Commons has to remain neutral, and cannot vote on any issue.  The Speaker of the House of Commons is an MP who is not appointed by the Government but elected by all MPs in the House of Commons.

   Add to the pot that about two thirds of Lords in the House of Lords are more socialist minded than Capitalist minded, then getting contentious legislation through the House of Lords becomes more difficult for a Capitalist Government when they are weak in the House of Commons.
   
   Statistically, there are usually about half a dozen by-elections a year e.g. following the death or ill health of an MP; and Teresa May would only need to lose three by-elections to lose her slim majority and be at real risk (under the British Constitution) of being forced to call a General Election due to losing a vote on a major Government bill e.g. the ‘Queens Speech’ (which lays out the Agenda for the Government each year and which has to be approved by the House of Commons), or a financial bill such as the Spring Budget, which also has to be approved by the House of Commons on a majority vote, but which Constitutionally the House of Lords cannot block.
   
   The final difficulty with Teresa May’s very slim majority is that she commands over a political party with a wide spectrum of Capitalistic views ranging from soft left to hard right; and in order to get any legislation through Parliament she is going to have to please all of her Conservative MPs, and the DUP, all of the time.  For example the 13 Scottish Conservative MPs are all pro Europe and would prefer to remain within the EU, the 10 DUP are in favour of Brexit but want free movement of people because of their border with the Irish Republic, while in England those Conservatives on the far right of her party want a ‘Hard Brexit’ e.g. no free movement of people.

      New opinion poll, post General Election (not surprisingly under the circumstances) now puts Labour at 45% and Conservatives at 39%; 6% lead; which could easily translate into landslide Labour Victory in the event of an early General Election.

      Hm! Some basic over-simplications here! It is simply wrong to think that all British MPs are either 'capitalist' or 'socialist' - all parties are coalitions of opinion.

      Very true John, which makes it even harder for Teresa May considering the political spectrum of Conservatives from soft left of her party to hard right; let alone the opposing views between the Scottish Conservatives and DUP in Northern Ireland.

   If Trump made such an offer, the only result would be to worsen Mrs May's position even further. Hatred of Trump is even stronger in the UK than the US - especially after his repudiation of the Paris Climate Accord. In any case, he could not make a trade offer until after the Brexit negotiations have run their course, which will not happen for at least another year.
   
   The calls for Mrs May to go have to do with issues other than trade - such as her failure to achieve her goal of increasing her Commons majority and the disastrous Conservative manifesto on which she based her campaign.

   The people of the UK have made the decision, on being indecisive, and the US and president Trump should just let them go their own way. They have little concern about Terrorism by their deeds. Like the US they are reactive rather than proactive, and this give the benefit to the Terrorists. Striking twice on the London Bridge is a sign that even with the most surveillance cams of any country, at least that is what I have heard, they still are only reactive. The Obama like subservience to the ever increasing Muslim communities has made them prime targets.
   The person in the latest terrorist attack was well known to the authorities, but PC and people like the Muslim Mayor of London prevent the proper investigation of these terrorists.
   
   Therefore, I think that the people in the UK should sink or swim based on their votes, and their concept of democracy. Like, WWII we can always give aid to them, when we are asked to help.
   
   And that goes for the rest of Europe. What is needed is that all these countries unite, at least against Terrorism.
   
   The fact is that most of the Muslim immigrants don't assimilate into the countries they immigrate. They want these countries to change to their old country. The same is true in the US. Like the illegal aliens, these immigrants don't want to be Americans, they want to be taken care of by America, until they can vote in their own government.
   
   The problem once again are the people already in the country, that put these foreigners ahead of the Country and the citizens of the country.
   
   I heard this woman who had converted to Islam two years ago say she wanted the US to provide Safe Areas for Muslims. And when asked aren't we all Americans 1st, she said NO, I am Black.
   
   That kind of sums it up.
   
   The UK is not our problem, it is the problem of their voters.

      Ralph, This is just plain wrong! To imply that the Mayor of London is in some way sympathetic to terrorists because he is a Muslim cannot go unchallenged. The vast majority of Muslims are completely opposed to the terrorists, in the UK and the US.

      John, it is not wrong. The mayor said to the people everything is OK, but it isn't. The fact is that most of the Muslim immigrants don't assimilate into the countries they immigrate. In any case, the UK and their Muslims are not our problem.

      London Mayor actually said “Londoners will see an increased police presence today, and over the course of the next few days, no reason to be alarmed, what the police and all of us need to do is make sure that we are as safe as we possibly can be”.

       Bradmaster, you are so wrong.  UK 5th and Germany 4th Wealthiest by GDP, at least our politicians are not in the pockets of big businesses, and I don’t see anything wrong with Europe socially, I prefer it to what I see in the USA.
