Just wondering about Amazon ads...I have had the ad snipped from my hub have others experienced this
I have repeatedly had Amazon ads snipped even though they really do pertain to my topic...for example a book house a particular light house diving into more history, the lighthouse keeper and such...yet I see other with several Amazon ads on their site...have others experienced this? What should I do different?
Susan, now you have to actually have experience with the product and say so in the article. I've some ads snipped as well but am planning to go back and add them back after making the needed changes.
I's especially annoying as other ads for related items--those HP profits from but we do not--on the articles are not mentioned in the text either. It's as if they are given a free ride on our intellectual property to do what we cannot. And no, it isn't an equitable deal.
Randy, I thought that was what the problem was so I added a text box talking about the book and recommending it but then they snipped both the text box and the ad....i found it annoying to that i have several hub ads running that have nothing to do with my subject.
I have had some Amazon Buy ads removed before. You can put a description directly in your Amazon Buy capsule describing why you bought the book for example, how it could help others, stating significant, useful info. beyond an Amazon review. You should also probably include your personal experience and opinion in the content of your article near the product capsule or within that descriptions in your Buy ad too. All of these things have helped me to keep my Amazon Buy ad in. Hope this helps.
I felt like i had did that it ...it was snipped then I edited it and put it right next to the thing I was talking about...it was also the only one in the hub.
they want us to use in text amazon sales now not the sale capsule. Mine all realated to the article and I even wrote about why it's a great product and what I used them for or how they helped me. all have been edited out once moved to nieche sites. now I just stopped ading them, there is no point if they just get removed.
Terry, That's how I feel I really felt I had done all of the things mentioned and it was still deleted...it really doesn't make sense to me...the items that I had snipped I felt had added to the information that I had provided.
Amazon Product capsules are almost always snipped from my articles even when I add my personal experience. This mostly happens when my article is being moved to a niche site.
It almost appears that they really don't allow Amazon ads. I wonder if there is a way to ask Hubpages about this?
Yes, I've experienced this too recently and found it particularly infuriating when the capsule is relevant to the content of my article. I don't know what you can do apart from keeping on reinstating the capsule!
This is definitely frustrating...I am not sure how to resolve this.

I received a notice about being charged to keep my Amazon affiliate program active if I have no sales in 90 days. I'm sure others share this issue. Since I agreed to use Amazon under Hubpages program ID, I do earn more commission but now I may be charged due to my own ID isn't producing income.Is...

It is my understanding that we are only entitled to have two Amazon Ads on a Hub. I still see many Hubs with more than two Ads and also Hubs with several capsules which contain two Ads each. What is the official ruling about this please?

Does anyone have luck with their Hubs being accepted to a niche site without their Amazon ad getting eliminated? I wrote a Hub in which I detailed my personal experience with a certain product and included an ad for it. It was not forced at all -- very organic -- but got eliminated during the...

I often see barely related Amazon ads on pages here. Sometimes, I see ads that seem plain perverse -- ads for Apple TV on an apple pie recipe page, for example.I'm sure a lot of the most unrelated (and harmful) Amazon ads come from the 'choose keywords' feature in Amazon capsules.Might be helpful...

Ok, here it is. Hubpages edited some of my hubs to "make them better" so they can be featured and moved to vertical sites. If I undo their "corrections" I risk having that hub removed from the featured status. When I have reviewed their "corrections"...

I have been using HP for over 7 years now, and I do make a few bucks from my writings. I can say that you will never get rich or even make a living off of HP, but you can make enough to, as I tell friends, "go out to dinner a couple of times a month". But my point here is that as I watch...
