I use to write a lot but have been so busy but recently started to write articles again. Am I am to leave a link from one article to another because they both deal with relationships?
It isn't against any rules. They tend to frown on it now, and especially if you link from an article on a niche site to one which is on hubpages.com. It shouldn't be a problem if you link to one that is in a niche site, or if both articles are on hubpages.com.
I'm just a guy though. I don't run anything around here.
I don't think it is necessarily a problem...as long as both are in the same niche site and discuss the same basic thing.
A hub, though, on dating relationships and one on extended family relationships would probably not qualify. One on the problems of your spouse interacting with your parents and another on you interacting with in-laws probably would.
I did on one of my articles and the capsule got snipped. I was probably in the wrong, though, because the Hub I was linking to wasn't specifically related. I think as long as the two Hubs are similar it shouldn't be an issue.
I included 2 text links to HP articles. One was allowed, the other snipped. Obviously, the links have to be relevant but also add value. Linking to your own articles, solely to get more views, is likely to get them removed.
That has to be a major key as to whether it's acceptable. Before niche sites I interlinked my hubs heavily, usually with in-text links. On a hub about changing brakes on a Ford Taurus, I might say "Some cars are different here - the Chevy Camaro is one of them" and use the "Chevy Camaro" as a link to a hub reviewing the new Camaro.
While it used to be fine, a review of the Camaro is not relevant to changing brakes on a Taurus and such links will be snipped.

What's the point in keeping us from linking to our own work in our articles? That's how we increase traffic to our articles!

I have a personal blog, and I was wondering if it's a good idea to write a post where I add reference links to my hubpages articles? Is it a good SEO practice or a bad idea? thanks

The feeling of first approved featured article in any site is good one for any author. Which was your first approved and featured article in hubpages? Can you share the link so that others especially the new authors here can go through it? It will be interesting to go through them.

I know there are several issues with this. Firstly, the network sites can't link back to Hubpages because of the reputation of the site and it being sort of a taboo domain to link to as regards Google (Is this a permanent problem, or does a site "get out of jail" eventually?) Also some...

I was reading through the FAQ and one thing that stuck out for me was the fact that after your Hubber Profile score reaches 75 or higher your website link on your profile is supposed to change from nofollow into dofollow. The links on my profile are all still nofollow links (I checked with inspect...

Attention Hubbers! Check you hubs IMMEDIATELY. I was reviewing one of my hubs and found a link to another hubbers article. Puzzled, I went to edit mode to remove it but it didn't show up. Obviously, the editors placed it there. I have emailed them to remove...
