    Now I am pissed.

In a post about affiliate marketing I wrote that I would be willing to help by looking at what people are doing and what they have done and I also said no catch.

Yes there are programs I can offer that I know work but I dont.  I do offer them if I am asked.

Well one Hubber sent me a note telling me Im a scammer and all i am doing is scamming the people here.

That is total crap.  Anyone who knows me here knows I have not tried to sell them a dam thing.

Dont paint me with a brush I have no part in.  I have actually refused to team up with some of the big names in affiliate marketing because I dont want to be part of that picture.

I do make pretty good coin through affiliate marketing and it is through plain old hard work and nothing else.

So if you have the guts call me out in the forum so people who can see who you are.  I wont mention your name simply because that would be wrong.

Also any Hubbers who i have tried selling to feel free to mention it here and I know exactly how long that list will be.

Has Hubpages helped me with my affiliate marketing?  Absolutely indirectly it has but not by being a scammer and a spammer.

Thats all and sorry for the rant to the good people here.

It kind of always sounds like you might be just about to though, but that's probably just me, I'm very wary of those who tell others how 'incredibly successful' they are often.

But then most of us are here to try and make a buck, so whether you are or aren't, I don't judge. big_smile

Thats fair and I can handle that.  I will tone it down.  I guess I just wanted people to know you can make money through affiliate marketing.

I started with absolutely nothing and a commitment to help others.

But what you say if it seems I am implying or trying to sell anything I am sorry.

But I most definatly have never promised anyone anything.

No need to tone it down on my behalf, or apologize, fan clubs and all the other jazz at HP are all very nice, but I'm all for dollars and cents (I'm not making any, but I live in hope).

If you're making good money and helping others make money without diddling them out of their pensions then keep it up.

          * p.s. no it wasn't me who sent Dale the e-mail referred to in the original post, lol big_smile

If they brought a private issue to you, why do you want to make it a public discussion?  I understand the outrage, but it seems like a way to cause a lot of waves for no benefit.

Because I take great pride in being a succesful marketer who hasnt had to take the much travelled road of many others.

My partner and I joined up together a couple years ago and promised each other we would never take that route.  So now when someone accuses me it angers me and I guess thats why I put it here.

I didnt see a problem with putting it here but if anyone does I am sorry.

You should tell who this hubber is. By sending you an e-mail telling you all that, he shows he'sa deceiver and a bad person. He should have said what he thought in the open . He's bullying you

I personally don't think your a scammer or anything. You showed no intention of luring people from Hubpages to spend money for your or any one else benefits.

I know how it is, I try to offer help to people about things and they won't even trust me enough to email back and forth, never mind tell them about affiliate marketing.

People with good intentions and who don't flame people and are willing to trust people always make it better in this world.

Most people are relatively intelligent, some are way more intelligent, then you have your grass roots, idiots, and Dale there aint no helping them.
They make very little,  achieve a lot less  and are generally a waste of resources. Hard, well yeah, but its how it is.
Let it wash over you, they are retards. I admire you for not naming them, that just adds to the friction.

Dale, I had a really good 20 year run in Network Marketing (MLM) which (as you no doubt know) can make Affiliate Marketing look like Saint Teresa.  Not in that field any more; only mentioning this to underscore the fact that I've got the street cred to smell a hustle from about three counties over, and (in my book) you've never given off so much as a whiff of anything dishonorable.

Thanks that means a lot and yes I know what you are talking about when it comes to MLM.  I actually did quite well in that for about 6 months about 4 years ago but really got sick of the rules changing everytime you met your goals and really got sick of begging people to sign up under me.

      Once again thanks

I saw the thread which may have started the "accusation" on you Dale on being a scammer but frankly, I did not see any attempt or even a squeak on your part that you are offering them something to scam them. Rather, what I saw was your generosity in offering to help them out.

That said, I hope the hubber sees this thread and realizes that he / she is wrong (I'm thinking it's a she, or am I wrong?). If you're a scammer you won't have 146 fans plus freedom to post in the forums plus the trust of your fellow hubbers, right?

So hang in there Dale and don't let it get you down. He or she will soon realize his / her mistake. If he or she doesn't realize this then that's his / her problem. I for one don't think you're a scammer.

Dale - don't worry about it. You've been in affiliate marketing long enough to know that whenever you mention the mere words, people become suspicious, especially here where there are lots of other marketers.  I saw the thread you are talking about and you asked people to contact you if interested. You are not going out spamming people - that's the difference. A lot of us here do affiliate marketing, some of us mention it and some of us don't. It's all good. smile

    Wouldn't worry about it, Dale.

Like Mr Voodoo, I can see that you are trying to get something out of Hubpages. So am I and pretty much everybody else here - most of us are marketers in one way or another.

The difference is about putting something back in - you are always helpful and you are prepared to spend time sharing your experience with others. That is fine by me - one of the reasons why folks like Knowles, Darkside, Sunforged and Relache are respected on here.

There is always one idiot who tries to spoil it for everybody - don't take it to heart. smile

    Hi Mandy - how's things big_smile
