Do I have to submit a Hub to a Network Site if it is a new Hub?

   Is a new hub automatically considered for a niche site without me doing anything?  I am not sure what the rule is about this.

      I think that a new hub first requires passing the QAP. So, only after it is published that you can submit it to a niche site.
      The automatic selection may take a longer duration. So, you publish it as usual and then, after it attains the featured status, you submit it to the niche site as soon as possible.

         Oh, I have not been doing that, just waiting patiently or impatiently for it to happen.   All my new ones are published so I guess that will take a while as one can only do that every six weeks or so.

   Sorry Ven, you’re wrong. New hubs are considered for niche sites automatically after passing QAP. My new hubs get moved within a few days after publishing. I never have to submit them myself. I only submit old hubs from years ago—one every 14 days.

      Thanks, Glen, I did wonder as I have been waiting three weeks for the first in a series 3 0r 4 to be moved.   I will just wait and see what happens then.

            It may be because it's part of a series. I write in series form at times, and sometimes they aren't sure where to put them. Why don't you write to the team @ team@hubpages.com?
            
            Also, if you have been waiting long, they may not accept it for a niche site, but won't tell you why, like they do when we submit them ourselves. A newly published article should have been put on a niche after a week or so. I would check. Plus they have more editors now. Good luck.

         My new hubs usually move in few days after publishing too. My guess is that if you meet as many of the Stellar rules as possible and make it easy for the editors, then it’s chosen right away.

            You write very good Hubs. Most of mine are given notes to fix something or the editors fix stuff themselves.

   My experience with a few of my new hubs is that after I had published them I got an email that they were chosen for a niche site. So I gathered that that happened when they were passing QAP.

   Glen is correct.
   
   Some niche sites are quicker than others at moving new hubs. It can take as little as a few hours after passing QAP or it can take a few weeks.
   
   You also have the option of using your "submit one every 14 days" facility. But only do this if you have no older hubs ready for submission. You can submit a newer hub this way instead of waiting if it seems to be languishing in the newbie queue.

   It seems random to me. Some Hubs are moved over pretty quick. Some get moved after awhile. Others just go completely unnoticed.

   I've had a couple sent to a niche site automatically, so I suppose they do that.  I guess it depends on the subject matter and quality of the hub.  I like OwlCation because I like educational and historical subjects, and I'm writing to a rather tight niche. 
   
   Eric, just a suggestion for all, you might try ProWritingAid.  It's not cheap as a subscription, but if you can buy a lifetime license it is well worth the money.  It goes through everything in your article, style, grammar, spelling, readability and a lot more than I usually have patience to deal with.  My only "fix" requests have been for extra line spaces or to add source bibliographies.

   I'm a newbie but all my hubs have made it to a proper niche in a very short time after being published. Some I've had to do additional work suggested by the editors and then eventually made into a niche. At first, I thought this was an automatic thing. But from what I read here it seems that many hubs just linger without making it to a niche. If one's hub has not moved to a niche in a long time does it mean it is not a good enough article and should either be reworked or perhaps removed?

   Daniel, most of  your hubs were moved because you did well with a QAP high score.
   
   Only the best hubs get moved to niche sites. A score of 8 or better on the writing scale is necessary. Here’s a link to the scale which is also used for the QAP.

    My hubs are usually moved to niche sites within a short time, a couple of days or so.  If changes are needed, I hop right on it.

    I have most moved shortly to a niche site, but one that lingered, I applied for the niche site, and it was moved over in short order.  It could be that it was overlooked if a number of new articles were published for that niche at the same time as our.  Go ahead and apply. Then you will see if they have an issue with it or just missed it.  Applying could get them to look at the rest of the series.
