   Do you believe in fate/destiny? is EVERYTHING predetermined, or only some things?

      Nothing is predetermined.  Some events/actions have a greater probability that others do (you probably won't have Mars fall on your roof), but nothing is certain.  Although a tad unlikely () your brain may be transplanted into a mechanical structure and you get to see the death of the universe!

            Something decides whether we salt our coffee in the morning and it isn't predestination.  That pretty much leaves free will.
            
            No, we are not constrained to act in a specific manner by a record of a future that has not happened.  Free will rules!

      I believe in both. I think, you have free will but when presented with choice the one destined to play out in this universe plays out here. I like the thought of a me somewhere in the multiverse benefiting from the best option that could have been chosen in every one of the scenarios presented during my lifetime.

         Then the future is set, immutable and unchangeable.  Nothing you can do will make a difference, nothing can ever change.  You may as well whatever your instant fancies would like to see because you can neither change anything nor make any difference.
         
         Nasty thought, isn't it, but also the necessary corollary to destiny and a fixed future.

            Fixed? Not really, and just so. With infinite universes and infinite choices, if we are individually connected throughout all, what purpose  could be served? Can you imagine not only having infinite choice, but also the ability to see each to its ultimate conclusion? The amount of personal growth and wisdom attainable is mind boggling. Free will to impose destiny,in order to learn.

               Sounds more like a semantics problem in communication than anything else.  If you are "destined" for something then that something WILL happen regardless of what other actions you might take.  "Destiny" and free will cannot therefore both be possible as free will changes destiny.
               
               Example: You are destined to marry Joe Swizzlestick, and he you.  You are even engaged, with a date set only a month away.  Destiny will be served!...except you choose to go skiing this weekend, choose the wrong hill to come down and choose the wrong way to turn.  You run into a tree and are killed; neither your destiny nor Joe's will ever happen.  Free will changed both.
               
               On the other hand, if destiny is a fact then one of your choices never happened; you didn't go skiing, didn't choose the wrong hill or didn't make the wrong choice in turning.  You could never have had the free will to do all of those things because destiny requires you marry Joe and those choices make it impossible.

                     All choices play out of course...but not to a pre-ordained conclusion.  The conclusion depends on the choices being made, not the other way around.  The culmination of all choices made determine the final result rather than than "destiny" determining what choices will be made.
                     
                     That's how I see it, anyway.  "Destiny" is but a myth, for final destiny cannot be determined until it actually happens.  The future is a matter of probabilities and "destiny" indicates a 100% probability.  Not 99.999999, but 100%.  In MY world of definitions, anyway!

                        Makes sense. If we limit the conversation to quite a few assumptions. Which is fine. If we include one assumption, the possibilities become infinite.

                           Well, not quite infinite.  There are a limited number of particles in the universe, a limited amount of energy and a limited number of directions, after all.  But certainly a very high number!  Couldn't begin to express it in terms of exponents of exponents of exponents!

                                 If there is more than one - we have yet to find any.  Although I have read where there is a collection of stars at the edge of the universe that may be being pulled that direction because of close proximity of another universe with it's own mass nearby ours.
                                 
                                 Kinda ambivalent about multiple universes.  We can't find any and yet there is nothing known in our own universe that is truly unique except in the most minute cases (your DNA is likely unique, even though composed of the same materials as mine).  There may well be an infinite number of universes (though that would seem to indicate a single, unique, "super universe" to hold them all) but we can only speculate with an interesting "what if".

   I think that some things are part of your destiny, but other things are your free will choice. I have experience both situations in my life. I do not think that one aspect negates the other. I think both are true.

   I feel like that's the same question as to whether or not we possess free will. There are many constraints on free will. There is also an infinite regress of cause and effect. I think one of the distinctions between biologically determined organisms and people is that people have the capacity to transcend their biology to some degree. We have the power of retrospect. We also have the power of prospect. The moment mankind became self-aware is the moment mankind developed a relationship with the past, present, and future. This gave us an evolutionary tool, unlike anything we've ever seen in nature.
