   Jeanine Pirro accuses Whoopie Goldberg of suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome during an episode of The View.  Goldberg gets unhinged and then tells Jeanine Pirro to leave.  Follows her, drops the F-bombs, spits at her and screams for her to leave the building.  Wow.  Goldberg then came back and apologized to the audience.  She didn't like being accused of being hysterical after being hysterical.  You can't make this stuff up.  Whoopie Goldberg is  now the poster child for TDS. I believe this will only help President Donald Trump and the Republicans.

      Saw snippets of THE VIEW on youtube.  Ms. Goldberg was only stating her view on the Trump presidency.   However, Judge Pirro  DID point a finger at Ms. Goldberg which the latter found disrespectful.  Yes, a hated argument ensued.   Ms. Goldberg was only mentioning the NEGATIVE aspects of Trump's presidency as counterpoint to Judge Pirro's (whom I watch) POSITIVE aspect of Trump's presidency.   No, Ms. Goldberg doesn't have TDS. 
      
      I wasn't an Obama fan.  However, when Obama was president, many couldn't stand Obama & were HIGHLY VOCAL about it.  Now why some are becoming oh so melodramatic when opposition is voiced about Trump.  Okay, Trump made some improvements but such improvements are offset by his racial remarks.  Ms. Goldberg rightfully was expressing her assessment of Trump.

            I know Pirro claims they did, but  Whoopi claims they didn't. Without more witnesses coming forward ... yet ... isn't this a 'she said - she' said' issue?

            What's your proof that this happened because that is apparently not what happened and there are witnesses to what did happen and Ms. Goldberg apparently has many people to back up her side of things.
            
            Imagine this gets taken to court. Who will win?
            
            I say evidence points to Ms. Goldberg winning based on her account of what happened.
            
            Ms. Pirro has a book to sell, so controversy like this is good for her.

      Interesting. I can't find any film of F bombs and spitting, even on YouTube. Just Pirro claiming it.
      
      Besides, it doesn't matter. Goldberg is small potatoes.
      
      And I don't see how Goldberg's bad behavior means all "liberals" act that way, as other posters claim.
      
      That's like saying all Republicans are murderers if a single Republican commits a murder.

            I don't normally read your posts because I know what to expect and try to limit myself to responding to a small number of other posters. But you asked and so I'll answer.
            
            It's one thing to generalize about a handful of Fox News and MSNBC hosts because their job is promoting conservative and liberal viewpoints. It's another thing to generalize about the 66 million "liberals" who voted for Clinton and the tens of millions more moderates and independents who didn't vote.
            
            Maybe we can all be more careful about how we use labels. It will promote better debates without inflamming the other side. But I guess it depends on whether people would rather debate or just argue.

               Most frustrating is the double standards in the Entertainment industry.  Rosanne Barr lost her show for a rude tweet.  How about Robert DiNero at the Award ceremony?  Nothing happened to him.  Samantha B calls Ivanka Trump the "C" word and nothing happens to her.  There have been other incidences.  I will bet nothing happens to Whoopie Goldberg for this and I will admit I'm wrong if she is removed from the show. I doubt I will have to say I'm wrong.

                     Whoopie Goldberg apologized to the audience, she has not made an attempt to apologize to Judge Jeanine Pirro.  Also, I would like to point out that Whoopie Goldberg has access to the media.  She has NEVER denied Judge Jeanine Pirro's allegations of the "f" bombs and the spitting.  I believe Whoopie Goldberg it the type of person, if she truly believed Judge Jeanine Pirro was lying, she would have taken to the airwaves to issue a denial. She hasn't and that speaks volumes.  As far as DiNero goes, those who hold the ceremony should have issued a statement that because of DiNero's behavior he will not be permitted again to be a host for that awards show.  He should have faced a consequence for what he said.  He turned an awards show into a political forum.

                        The multiple clips I saw showed Goldberg and Pirro both yelling at each other. I saw nothing to indicate that Goldberg should apologize to Pirro.
                        
                        Pirro has plenty of access to media on Fox.
                        
                        If DeNiro is no longer invited to speak on the show or any show, he will face a consequence.
                        
                        What are the consequences to Trump for his constant bad behavior? Not a blessed thing. Another double standard.

               I don't see a lot wrong with your quote which attempts to paint a picture which does not reflect the reality being spoken of. It is true. 'Virtue signaling' has replaced substance and the requirement for facts, I get it, though. One thing I've bemoaned is mismatched dialogue on interviews and videos. You can't take a well spoken, professional debater and put them up against someone who feels passionately about something but is not good at articulating their thoughts. It looks bad and simply leads to feeding your pre-existing bias.

                  I intentionally cited Fox, MSNBC, conservatives and liberals in my response and said "Maybe we can all be more careful". I don't see the bias in it if I'm including all perspectives.

         I believe in intelligent discourses, not heated nor hated arguments.  The latter is a sign of maturity & civilization while the latter is a sign of junior high immaturity.   Each is entitled to his/her ideological perspective.  Let each go his/her own way.   The only time to be upset w/ideological perspective is that if it harms & damages children.   Believe what one will but don't let your beliefs/desires impair & damage children.  Children are precious & are entitled to the best possible life.  Oh hell, I just thought of YET ANOTHER thread! I am just going to jot the thought in my notepad.

   I don't watch the view but since this thread peaked my interest I watched that segment. Whoopee was rude. Bottom line. Maybe that is the style of the show. But it is typical of what I'm seeing. Liberals refusing civil dialogue and letting their emotions over ride any ability for discussion. Being able to scream loudly is not synonymous with a valuable opinion. But, again, maybe that is the format for the show.

                                    If one wants healthcare, one should PAY for it.  Can't pay- oh.....WELL.  Let me elucidate this.   If one wants a product or a service, PAY for it.   One should do things that they CAN'T afford.   It used to be when one was poor, h/she did WITHOUT until h/she did BETTER.   Being poor in the old days was a struggle; however, it was an INCENTIVE for many to do BETTER & they DID!  There was hardly any welfare & crazy social service programs- people pulled themselves by their bootstraps.  Let us return to THAT, THANK YOU!

   So what ?    What media platform hasn't become politicized recently ?      I'll tell you one thing  BECAUSE of celebrity stupidity , I have stopped watching , for one , movies produced in Hollywood .   I have stopped watching and listening to not only  the moronity coming out of celebrity-hood's mouths but their movies , talk shows , documentaries  etc........
   
   My hope is that Americans by choice or by simple and passive likes and dislikes stops financially supporting what I consider to be absolute moronity out of hollywood. Boycotts work . And the left started that game too. You can all assume the attitude that you are supporting free speech rights by allowing such ,  BUT we don't have to listen to them do we , we don't have to support them financially do we ?
