Jeanine Pirro accuses Whoopie Goldberg of suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome during an episode of The View. Goldberg gets unhinged and then tells Jeanine Pirro to leave. Follows her, drops the F-bombs, spits at her and screams for her to leave the building. Wow. Goldberg then came back and apologized to the audience. She didn't like being accused of being hysterical after being hysterical. You can't make this stuff up. Whoopie Goldberg is now the poster child for TDS. I believe this will only help President Donald Trump and the Republicans.
Saw snippets of THE VIEW on youtube. Ms. Goldberg was only stating her view on the Trump presidency. However, Judge Pirro DID point a finger at Ms. Goldberg which the latter found disrespectful. Yes, a hated argument ensued. Ms. Goldberg was only mentioning the NEGATIVE aspects of Trump's presidency as counterpoint to Judge Pirro's (whom I watch) POSITIVE aspect of Trump's presidency. No, Ms. Goldberg doesn't have TDS.
I wasn't an Obama fan. However, when Obama was president, many couldn't stand Obama & were HIGHLY VOCAL about it. Now why some are becoming oh so melodramatic when opposition is voiced about Trump. Okay, Trump made some improvements but such improvements are offset by his racial remarks. Ms. Goldberg rightfully was expressing her assessment of Trump.
Nothing and I repeat nothing Judge Jeanine Pirro did rose to the level that made Whoopie Goldberg's actions acceptable. She screamed at her and threw her off the show, used F bombs on her and screamed for her to leave the building. Sorry, Whoopie is the poster child for TDS.
"She screamed at her and threw her off the show..."
"... screamed for her to leave the building"
The available video clips don't show either of these. How do you know for sure, they happened?
I know Pirro claims they did, but Whoopi claims they didn't. Without more witnesses coming forward ... yet ... isn't this a 'she said - she' said' issue?
What makes you believe Pirro over Goldburg?
GA
"What makes you believe Pirro over Goldburg "
Pirro was a prosecutor . Goldberg was an actress .
You tell us.
Marcia Clark was a prosecutor, and a CNN commentator - Hannity was a carpenter turned entertainer, and is a commentator on Fox ... which one should I believe?
GA
That's not his point. He is simply asking for proof instead of rhetoric.
Well, this is what Whoopi said.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_cont … tAeSu0JbJQ
(Btw, Pirro made a snarky comment about Navarro after the incident -Fox interview, so I guess Whoopi is right about that.)
What's your proof that this happened because that is apparently not what happened and there are witnesses to what did happen and Ms. Goldberg apparently has many people to back up her side of things.
Imagine this gets taken to court. Who will win?
I say evidence points to Ms. Goldberg winning based on her account of what happened.
Ms. Pirro has a book to sell, so controversy like this is good for her.
Interesting. I can't find any film of F bombs and spitting, even on YouTube. Just Pirro claiming it.
Besides, it doesn't matter. Goldberg is small potatoes.
And I don't see how Goldberg's bad behavior means all "liberals" act that way, as other posters claim.
That's like saying all Republicans are murderers if a single Republican commits a murder.
Given the SCALE of liberal activism and first hand promoting of violence ? No, of course you don't assume any responsibility of hate rhetoric ? That's like the exact same way that Iran speaks to world terrorism , theist violence and their ideological manifestation all the while claiming innocence .Alinsky said the same in defence of socialism , political divisiveness and it's spread into America .
"NOooo, not our fault "
You've all learned very well from each other .
If you are referring to my comment, it does not say or imply 'all liberals'. It is about the liberals making it onto the news.
I don't normally read your posts because I know what to expect and try to limit myself to responding to a small number of other posters. But you asked and so I'll answer.
It's one thing to generalize about a handful of Fox News and MSNBC hosts because their job is promoting conservative and liberal viewpoints. It's another thing to generalize about the 66 million "liberals" who voted for Clinton and the tens of millions more moderates and independents who didn't vote.
Maybe we can all be more careful about how we use labels. It will promote better debates without inflamming the other side. But I guess it depends on whether people would rather debate or just argue.
EDIT: Like this -- "More proof that liberals get away with incivility through virtue signaling and false outrage."
Most frustrating is the double standards in the Entertainment industry. Rosanne Barr lost her show for a rude tweet. How about Robert DiNero at the Award ceremony? Nothing happened to him. Samantha B calls Ivanka Trump the "C" word and nothing happens to her. There have been other incidences. I will bet nothing happens to Whoopie Goldberg for this and I will admit I'm wrong if she is removed from the show. I doubt I will have to say I'm wrong.
Robert DiNero was an idiot for saying what he said. Otherwise, what is supposed to happen to him for using bad language about Trump?
Should he go to jail? Should he be fired from something?
I agree Goldberg acted badly. But she also apologized. DiNero did not.
Whoopie Goldberg apologized to the audience, she has not made an attempt to apologize to Judge Jeanine Pirro. Also, I would like to point out that Whoopie Goldberg has access to the media. She has NEVER denied Judge Jeanine Pirro's allegations of the "f" bombs and the spitting. I believe Whoopie Goldberg it the type of person, if she truly believed Judge Jeanine Pirro was lying, she would have taken to the airwaves to issue a denial. She hasn't and that speaks volumes. As far as DiNero goes, those who hold the ceremony should have issued a statement that because of DiNero's behavior he will not be permitted again to be a host for that awards show. He should have faced a consequence for what he said. He turned an awards show into a political forum.
The multiple clips I saw showed Goldberg and Pirro both yelling at each other. I saw nothing to indicate that Goldberg should apologize to Pirro.
Pirro has plenty of access to media on Fox.
If DeNiro is no longer invited to speak on the show or any show, he will face a consequence.
What are the consequences to Trump for his constant bad behavior? Not a blessed thing. Another double standard.
Okay, your serious case of DTS is showing. I like how you deflect from the topic. We're talking about an incident that happened on a talk show, not the allegations against the president of the United States. I believe your DTS is keeping you from focusing on the topic.
She has NEVER denied Judge Jeanine Pirro's allegations of the "f" bombs and the spitting.
Not true.
I believe Whoopie Goldberg it the type of person, if she truly believed Judge Jeanine Pirro was lying, she would have taken to the airwaves to issue a denial. She hasn't and that speaks volumes.
Again, not true. She did.

I don't see a lot wrong with your quote which attempts to paint a picture which does not reflect the reality being spoken of. It is true. 'Virtue signaling' has replaced substance and the requirement for facts, I get it, though. One thing I've bemoaned is mismatched dialogue on interviews and videos. You can't take a well spoken, professional debater and put them up against someone who feels passionately about something but is not good at articulating their thoughts. It looks bad and simply leads to feeding your pre-existing bias.
I understand your point, but the quote I posted is a generalization about liberals and represented quite a few similar posts from other people on here. That's the point I'm trying to make.
What is my "pre-existing bias"? That I object to extremism and generalizations on either side?
I intentionally cited Fox, MSNBC, conservatives and liberals in my response and said "Maybe we can all be more careful". I don't see the bias in it if I'm including all perspectives.
I thought she was moving to Canada? LOL Wish she would have...
Almost Every woman on The View has severe TDS , what are you talking about ? Whoopie is an alt left celebrity who views are always twisted to obstructionism , For Whoopie it's also always about racism when she cant debate a Trump issue or a conservative point , where does anyone think liberals actually get that blame syndrome from ? Can't beat an argument accuse racism , bigotry , nationalism , nazism , misogyny...........
Sorry, meant heated, not hated discussion depending upon interpretation.
GM , heated discussions are okay .........I've had several in days past . obviously , What's not a good thing is" hate " discussions , What's taking place in America of late is hatred...........................period .
I wish most liberals would catch up with reality . Conservatives have never hated , by liberal terms "hatred" is a daily term at present , .............While liberals need to feed on conservative 'hatred" , they merely have , at this point , only displayed their own hatred of all things American.....................
Think about that ?
I believe in intelligent discourses, not heated nor hated arguments. The latter is a sign of maturity & civilization while the latter is a sign of junior high immaturity. Each is entitled to his/her ideological perspective. Let each go his/her own way. The only time to be upset w/ideological perspective is that if it harms & damages children. Believe what one will but don't let your beliefs/desires impair & damage children. Children are precious & are entitled to the best possible life. Oh hell, I just thought of YET ANOTHER thread! I am just going to jot the thought in my notepad.
I don't watch the view but since this thread peaked my interest I watched that segment. Whoopee was rude. Bottom line. Maybe that is the style of the show. But it is typical of what I'm seeing. Liberals refusing civil dialogue and letting their emotions over ride any ability for discussion. Being able to scream loudly is not synonymous with a valuable opinion. But, again, maybe that is the format for the show.
More proof that liberals get away with incivility through virtue signaling and false outrage. The best part was when she comes back and says she rarely looses her cool. What a joke.
So when a psychopathic, cowardly weirdo like Donald Trump who could care less about you or anyone else as he appeases Vladimir putin, tries to take away a child's health insurance which could leave said child without the necessary medical treatments to save his or her life, an attempt which was obstructed and thwarted thank God by a NO Vote from hero John McCain, do you call it 'false outrage' or 'TDS" whatever that means when Americans become furious and fight back in every legal way possible to save their health insurance?
Really? So if outrage, anger and obstruction shouldn't be exercised by Americans when we are attacked by a cowardly, insane fake president, what in your opinion is the appropriate response by an American parent when Cowardly Psychopath Bozo Trump and his republican accomplices in congress try to take their child's health insurance away? An atrocious act which Vladimir Putin must be proud of:
Who should get a job and what are you talking about? And how does that stop an insane dictator wanna be like Bozo Trump from trying desperately to take Americans health insurance away?
Let me just explain: Bozo Trump is and has been trying to sabotage our health insurance system since the abominable evil day he was embedded in our oval office: His undermining of our healthcare is all inclusive, it has no boundaries nor does his insanity descriminate between the employed and or the jobless:
So once again I ask, aside from the natural, expected logical response including anger, outrage, protests and aggressive legal actions, how else should Americans respond to a psychologically unstable fake president controlled by our arch enemy like Bozo Trump when he tries to take away their health insurance?
Should Americans simply buckle and take the attempted abuse just like Bozo Trump did at the feet of Vladimir Putin in Helsinki and every other day?
He's against socalized medicine, which most Americans don't want. Sounds like he's doing what he was hired to do. Repeal Obamacare.
Still no answer to my question right? Actually you're simply wrong again Onusonus: Most American do want socialism because it benefits EVERYONE, about 70% of us do and that will guarantee that all of us including our children, will have access to adequate health care just like Melanie Trump did when she was in the hospital recently:
Capitalism was a FAILED experiment that unlawfully transferred our wealth to those greed mongers who didn't earn it, it's a miserable failure for everyone except the elitists of the world like walmart and every other Wall Street Hoarder: Trillions of our money stashed offshore by corporations for the benefit of foreigners, and don't be surprised if we discover Bozo Trump has a few dollars hidden over seas as well, it would be consistent with his putrid anti-American pro Russian existence:
Sabotaging our healthcare system like Russian Poodle Bozo Trump continues to do is a crime against humanity for which he will pay dearly for when the tribunals begin:
"Most American do want socialism because it benefits EVERYONE"
Just curious, but how does it benefit those that are paying the bill? I mean, it obviously benefits the "takers" of socialism - those that won't provide for their own needs - but how does it benefit the "givers" that are having the results of their hard work taken from them to give to someone else?
Creepy Capitalist Pig Steve Mnuchin one of Bozo Trump's cronies raked in millions off of foreclosing on American home owners but hey, that's just capitalism for ya:
If he holds cash in foreign accounts which is a common anti-American and in some cases illegal practice for most hoarders in his position, my heart would bleed for him if he was required to make a withdrawal from the 'Bank of Turkey' or where ever to chip in and pay for universal health insurance instead of doing everything humanly possible to avoid his patriotic duty of paying taxes for the good of the community:
Ummm...I don't see anything here that answers the question of how socialism helps those footing the bill.
Did you forget to answer or recognize that your statement is totally false - that those footing the bill aren't "benefited" at all?
(Has it ever occurred to you that people use overseas accounts because of people like you will take what they own from them if they bring it into the country?)
And why do you suppose he foreclosed on peoples houses? The payments stay the same on a fixed mortgage, But I notice my property taxes going through the roof every year because of people like you who need more and more wasteful government programs to save homeless kittens, or knit sweaters for injured baby seals.
It's all a political sham and people like you continue to vote away money from the working class Americans who are struggling to stay afloat.
Gosh darn, have to agree w/Onusonus here. He is making SENSE! Yes, the government WASTES tax dollars on inane research & superfluous social programs. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!
Agree w/Wilderness here. The LAST thing Americans need is socialism. We have enough inane social programs which I pay taxes for. Taxes that I can use such as welfare & Obama"care". C'mon Jake. America has MORE than enough social programs. No Americans DON'T want socialism. I DON'T! Free enterprise is GREAT- WE AMERICANS are about to keep it! People work HARD for THEIR money-it is not to help keep up those who refuse to earn THEIR way!
That's fine gmwilliams, you can agree with the underwhelming minority who believe weirdo Steve Mnuchin's of the world have the right to take as much as they can from the USA with no obligation to give anything back which is a crime:
The overwhelming majority believes in socialism which guarantees everyone essential healthcare:
If one wants healthcare, one should PAY for it. Can't pay- oh.....WELL. Let me elucidate this. If one wants a product or a service, PAY for it. One should do things that they CAN'T afford. It used to be when one was poor, h/she did WITHOUT until h/she did BETTER. Being poor in the old days was a struggle; however, it was an INCENTIVE for many to do BETTER & they DID! There was hardly any welfare & crazy social service programs- people pulled themselves by their bootstraps. Let us return to THAT, THANK YOU!
Here's a much better idea, how about those filthy rich pigs who got extremely wealthy off of the backs of workers paying for everyones healthcare and other essentials? Or should the weirdo anti-American pro Russian Steve Mnuchins of the world be allowed to continue shipping trillions of our wealth to foreign shores as they remain complicit with Bozo Trump's treachery?
Should sleazy foreigner dictators remain the beneficiaries of wealth created by the American worker as it stands now under your lovely capitalism or should the American worker be the beneficiaries of their back breaking work?
Americans should be beneficiaries of their work DUH!
Capitalism is THE BEST economic system ever. Capitalism allowed those who are capable & smart to rise as far as they want to go. It only fails among the more unenterprising & those who aren't intelligent enough to understand the system. I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR SOCIALISM.
Capitalism in absolutely the best system ever if you happen to be filthy rich and live on Wall Street:
Here's where crooked Wall Street CEOs ship our wealth, to foreign lands to benefit foreign governments, not the USA: CRIMINAL:
https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2017 … s-profits/
Capitalism is the most efficient economic system ever. It's also amoral and benefits the people who are most able to take advantage of it and bend it to their purposes. Socialism is inefficient and moral.
This is not an either / or issue. The best society combines the best aspects of both systems.
He's only trying to "sabotage" a socialist payout system, not peoples' healthcare. Geez......
THANK YOU, Onusonus. As I said many times, healthcare in America was FINE before the Obama took over & messed up healthcare. Obama was a bona fide socialist. Obama & the new Democrats are making many staunch Democrats turn Republican. At least the Republicans AREN'T spouting socialist nonsensical tripe.
It's actually kind of funny , Pirro angered Whoopie with a truth and it all "went south" from there , And there's the actual truth about liberals , Make them angry , they lose it and the ugly truth always comes out .
Both are stupid, both should loose their job, but only one gets fired. Why? Double standard.
Jake , ++News Flash++ "Workers " don't get wealthy anywhere in the world . "Workers" do what they do for a resulting compensatory wage and will never likely acquire wealth by doing so . They earn a living and in a career may only attain some wealth .
Have you ever even HAD a job ?
So what ? What media platform hasn't become politicized recently ? I'll tell you one thing BECAUSE of celebrity stupidity , I have stopped watching , for one , movies produced in Hollywood . I have stopped watching and listening to not only the moronity coming out of celebrity-hood's mouths but their movies , talk shows , documentaries etc........
My hope is that Americans by choice or by simple and passive likes and dislikes stops financially supporting what I consider to be absolute moronity out of hollywood. Boycotts work . And the left started that game too. You can all assume the attitude that you are supporting free speech rights by allowing such , BUT we don't have to listen to them do we , we don't have to support them financially do we ?
I watched this. Okay, now we're in a place of "Whoopie Said", Judge Jeanine Pirro" said. I believe if Whoopie had been a conservative, ABC would have fired her. Rosanne Barr lost her show for a single tweet. This is just more proof of the entertainment industry's double standards.
