Let's hope it's a glitch and that HP staff can confirm it.

As you all know, my main niche is RV living and travel.  Views have been really good for quite some time, but in the past two days they have dropped quite a bit.  So far today I'm showing only 5K when I normally get anywhere from 7 K to 13K in a given day.  However, the season is ending, so that may be part of it, still it's been a significant drop.  Not much to be done but just wait..usually within a few months views crawl back up.  Hope this happens again.

If it's a HP glitch then there's relief - if not then in all my time on HP I've never had such an instant drop.

It's normal for my traffic to start to decline as the growing season ends, but the trend is always gradual.  Today, I lost half my traffic.  Glad to hear that it is an HP glitch.

I did not look at my stats yesterday, only checked them when I saw your post.
My views are down about 5 k for the day. Ouch!
I read the article and did not see any methods that would help fix this. Any ideas?

For the last few days I've seen the opposite, a nice increase in traffic. However, I'm writing in a different genre to the one you write in. Maybe that's the difference.

The recent trend for me has been so poor, I assumed HP stats were correct, but analytics gives some hope that they are not.

Yep, I seem to be holding rank so logic says it is a glitch of some kind. HP staff can get back pronto hopefully, to confirm or not. Hang on tight!!

Is it possible this is a HubPages issue? I am not seeing a big drop in Google Analytics.

If so, I hope staff confirms it soon, before people start jumping out of windows.

Well! Just saw I got slammed by a new HP traffic low that I haven't seen in  months or possibly even years. I immediately scampered off to my website to see what's happening there; things still appear ok on that front at least. I tell ya, it just plain looks like HP and Google are never going to get along.

    1. DrMark1961 profile image95
DrMark1961posted 4 years agoin reply to this

I scampered off to an anonymous search engine to check the results. All of my articles are still at the top, so something is wrong with these numbers. It does not seem to be anything to do with HP and Google (as far as I can tell).

Robin, could you please post an official update? It's not fixed yet. Other hubbers (like me) will continue to clog the forums with inquiries if we don't see an official announcement. Thank you.

I assumed it would take 24 hours from the time the fix was made for stats to look right again, as the HP stats operate in a revolving 24-hour timeframe.

Based on the timestamp of Robin's post it appears we still have a few hours to go.
