Amazon Earnings Report Down For a Month or More

   Can we please resolve this "technical" issue or tells us what is truly going on between Maven and Amazon?
   
   Posted on my earnings page: "Due to technical issues with Amazon data reports, Amazon earnings since May 1st, 2020 are pending. We will update the earnings reports as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!"

      Yes, this is the message on my account too. Since my CPMs have taken a nosedive in the last year, Amazon was easily near half my income here on HubPages and I’m very discouraged.

      Basically, there is a severe delay in their account services because of COVID-19, so we are unable to get any more information at this time.

   Yes, it is time for someone to step up and offer us some transparency to the situation. At the very least, what we can expect to be earning in the future. What the commission rate will be and will it be flat across all categories or will each category have a different commission rate. Has Maven been categorized as a third party affiliate or is it a publisher?

      I think HP is still waiting on an answer from Amazon for this info. Like a lot of companies, Amazon is using this coronavirus as an excuse to treat people even worse.
      I have been dealing with a credit card problem for over two months. Every time I call I get the same message "due to the current COVID situation no customer representatives can take your call".

         As an excuse because they've so many sales and too busy to care about affiliates. With a bit of look the tables will turn on them.

         It's times like these we need to concentrate on customer service, being more patient and kind. There is no reason why people cannot work remotely.  Of course, credit cards are notorious, no matter what is going in our culture.

            I had two bank CDs expire recently, and when I spoke with bank reps to renew under different terms, they didn't have the proper access to the bank's system to help me, since they were working remotely from home. So I guess I can understand a similar situation with Amazon.
            
            However, I don't understand how COVID-19 can have anything to do with breaking an existing software interface for data sharing.

   Earnings are down across the board for HP. My monthly rate is now around 25% of what it was in January of this year. Does anyone have any encouragement that better times are ahead of us?

      Nobody can guarantee that things are going to get better in the future. You are writing about what you know, and sooner or later people are going to start travelling again. I think you should stick with it. Your page views will go up but no one can say how long this is going to take. (Sorry, wish I could be more positive.)

      My CPMs are pretty consistent with last years at this time. Due to the improved rankings along with a possible Covid 19 gardening boom, my traffic has shot up and I have made the most I ever made on HP this May from the HP Ad Program. If I made half the amount from Amazon in May that I did in April, it would be my best earnings ever on HP.
      
      As long as your articles are continuing to rank you should go on. If they are not ranking that's something of concern. Had I been writing only on Caloriebee, I would have not bothered anymore. As most of you know, my once most popular article now gets just 10 views a day on average, some days I get 20 and see a red arrow.
      
      If you have the time for something more productive, do that instead of writing here, if not writing here is a good choice, may not be the best, only time will tell.

         I did not have my highest earning month in May but it was my highest traffic ever. It was great to the highs each day, but I think if I was writing mostly for a site like wanderwisdom I would be discouraged too.

            Yup, I've enjoyed seeing the new highs too. Some days it drops by a thousand or so and it's kind of disappointing when just a week or two ago that was a new high.

   CPM has dropped back too since the start of June and we haven't reached Q3 yet. The rate last year was 60% higher.

      Has anyone commented on the interest $ that someone is earning from holding our Amazon earnings? And the $ we're losing? It won't amount to a lot for me but it's a thought.

         Those numbers that should have been reported at the end of May are only paid out at the end of July. Please explain how anyone is losing interest on that.
