Who else here wants to commiserate about being old and stupid?

Well if it makes you feel any better the last time I was any good at chess was when I was in middle school.

I even tried to get into the game again and I just lost interest. I have no patience for thinking about future moves. I can't see possible moves anymore.

At least you had a run. I was never good at chess. I never ever won a game.

Dylan just released a pretty fine new album, aged 79.

      My favorite track:

      Sentimental, gloomy and hypnotic, perfect.

I'm trying not to shrink from past losses or coming losses, these days. That album helps with that kind of stuff.

Sorry for my less than cheerful post. I also have an abscessed tooth that is killing me. And the quack dentist refuses to give me pain meds that would actually work.

That is too bad. I hope you feel better soon or find something that works.

There are pain meds that would work just fine, but the dentists are scared to death of the DEA/FDA and refuse to prescribe them.

I've just posted an article on this whole nanny state bureaucracy thing. It appears to actually be getting some results. I'd love to post the link. Comments there would be much appreciated. Unfortunately, I can't do it unless HP gives me special dispensation.

There is a question. Not HP. Aside in best interest to not care.
