Is there any way to change the font size or color? I see published articles with nice headings but see no way to create them while writing an article.

If you use a different text capsule to write each section in your article, you’ll be able to add a subtitle at the top of each capsule. The subtitle will look different from the print in the rest of the capsule once you’ve saved the text.

You can also chose different heading styles from the controls at the top of a text capsule to use for different sections within the capsule.

The subtitles and headings will look different depending on whether the article stays on HubPages or is moved to the Discover site or a niche site, but they are still a good way to organize an article.

I see text, photo and video in core capsules. I also use the call out capsule. I don't see any way to change the text. I see two heading styles, along with paragraph and preformatted from the drop-down menu. These don't change text either.  The call-out capsules in the color box are ok, but not justified. If I use text capsules.

I like the headings in this article but can't seem to make them happen.

Hi, Megan. We create our articles on hubpages.com. The article in your link has been moved to discover.hubpages.com. The formatting that we created on the first site won't look exactly the same when the article is moved to the second site. We can't completely duplicate the appearance of a Discover article while we are writing on hubpages.com.

I think you'll have to experiment by creating an article (or finishing the one that you are writing) and then seeing if you like the format when it's switched to Discover. The article should be switched if it's good. It's good to get the article switched because advertisements appear on Discover but not on HubPages. We can earn money from the ads.

HubPages does allow some formatting options that won't appear on Discover, such as colored text in subtitles. Some of these formatting options will disappear when the article is moved.

Megan, Your article was moved to Discover, so now you can see how your title and text fonts look.

By the way, those images you're using from the various media sites are protected by copyright. If you got permission to use them, specify that in the source field. Otherwise, it's best to use public domain images from sites such as Pixabay and Unsplash. Welcome to HubPages.
