Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Here is my article: The Ancient Greek Pantheon Part I
There are some misspelled words and punctuation errors. Although I did not actually check the word length, this does not look like it meets the length that HP prefers. In particular, use a comma to offset a dependent clause and semicolon to ssparate an independent clause.
Examples:
Since she had a flat tire, she arrived at the party late. (The first part of the sentence cannot stnd on its own.)
She got a flat tire; thus, she arrived at the party late. (Both parts of the sentence can stand on their own.)
I found the start of the article a bit confusing. Perhaps you could begin with an introduction instead of a quote. In addition, you don’t end the quote with quotation marks. For someone unfamiliar with your topic, writing “Birds 685” at the end of the quote may be meaningless. A brief introduction to cosmogony, Aristophanes, and his play at the start of the article could be useful.
You should also check for consistency in capitalization for the words “god” and “goddess.” Proofreading to catch some additional problems would also be helpful.
The opening quote does not explain anything but needs some explaining itself. If you would break it down and explain what is missing from it, and write it in today's English, it would serve you better. Also, I agree with AliciaC, it's not a great idea to begin a post with a quote.
There is one part as well, that is not attributed, that can be found here:
http://www.forumancientcoins.com/CPARAD … tion.html. That site doesn't properly attribute either, so I don't know what the original source was (if it was not their own written material). Still, the point is that it is not your original material.
