Never repost the original if it has links in it. You've now given the perpetrator two live backlinks.

I have warned the person on that article to take it down else I will report him for plagiarizing.

Bev, I would zero in later, and in any such issue having now an understand of the challenge.                                           I think a report from various writers on a plagiarized article can have a terrific effect.

In my part of Eastern Nigeria, a thief is a person "who wants to eat but not work" per professor  Philip O. Nsugbe.                                                                       I was very surprised that your creative content was copy word by word, paragraph by paragraph. The plagiarism is a perdct theft.                                                                      The thief is hardly able to use his/her mind by leaving "a blunder", that is, not deleting your name as Rupert Taylor would had have us believe.                                                                   It seems also the theft was not easily detected because it was publish on a blog or personal website? The forum is a place to share problems and to help one another. You're always welcome.

First of all, break those links. Edit your post and put spaces in them. You don't want to give them a valuable backlink.

Secondly, you aren't a victim. You are a writer whose work has been copied.

Thirdly, there is a straightforward way to get the content removed. But edit that post first.

Click on the author's view link to your article in your My Account. You'll see a window posted by HP that shows your article as having been copied. There you'll find directions on how to file a DMCA. If HP hasn't discovered the duplication yet, this article will tell you how to file a DMCA:https://turbofuture.com/internet/how-to-combat-plagiarism-when-DMCA-notices-are-ignored

HP gives tells you what to do to get article copies removed. I've followed the procedure many times. That said, I wouldn't get too freaked out. It usually doesn't matter, doesn't affect views or earnings much in my experience. If your article is first page of Google search results, and the copy is page 23, I honestly wouldn't worry. All my popular articles have been copied, often multiple times, but I don't generally get too concerned.

You should file a DMCA complaint. Usually, HP just tells you to do that.

I've removed the links from the original post now since we're all caught up.
