I think my favorite author at the moment is George R.R. Martin, while I'm reading through the A Song of Ice and Fire series right now. He just knows how to create a world and make it his own. The lore he creates and builds off of makes me jealous of his skills as a writer, but not of the speed in which he gets it all done in. The world building alone though makes up for his infamous amount of time that it takes him to get a book published and released to the world.

Too many to mention them all. I read a lot of indie authors and the latest book I read was by Tabitha Bird who wrote - A Lifetime of Impossible Days. Such a beautifully written story. Authors who are prolific that I read are -
Liane Moriarty, Jojo Moyes, Paulo Coelho.

Too many to mention depending on the genre. So George Orwell and his "Animal Farm" readily comes to mind.                        If you have read or study the book, you will notice the events as common in every society.

    Impossible question!
The first names that come to my mind are Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Jean Webster and George Orwell, but I could name many more!
All these people have a special way of communicating their thoughts about the world they live in. The topics their books touch are forever relevant.

I just stumbled on a few of Clive Cussler's books and I'm hooked. I'll say he's my favourite right now. I absolutely love his style of writing.

I'll talk about the recent ones. I just happened to finish Dune and loved Frank Herbert's distinct imagination, setting, and narration. And reading Khalil Ghibran there's no way turning your back on him. Ghibran is someone who can see poetry in everything. Such a soul touching writer. Also, after finishing Homer's Odyssey, I happened to read Circe by Madeline Miller. Circe is a kind of bottom-up writing borrowing the character from Homer's Odyssey and putting forth the narration through Circe's perspective. It's a very interesting read. The ones who have read Odyssey can relate and look at the Circe summary at least.

Probably Robin Heath for non fiction. Not sure about fiction.
